The Strong Bond novel Chapter 26

Damian just snorts directing all his attention on the large dark gray wolf before him. The wolf is solid on all fours, radiating authority, and power from his stance. Even though he was a good size wolf, then again any wolf with Alpha blood tended to be lager then other wolves around them. He still was no match for Damian, because Damian was more than two times the size of a normal Alpha. Plus, Keith didn't hold the Alpha title yet, which meant he didn't have the full strength of a true Alpha. Damian stood in front of Lena protectively, which seem to fuel the other Alphas anger.

Even though Lena didn't want anyone fighting for no good reason. She couldn't help the pride she felt seeing her mate showing dominance over other wolfs. She also couldn't control the feeling of desire that seem to take over seeing Damian go all protective. There was no reason for Damian puff his chest and shielding her from her own future Alpha. But she couldn't help herself finding it extremely sexy. Lena snapped out of her thoughts once she noticed wolves taking sides like they were getting ready for a war.

"Shit" she cursed to herself knowing she needed to speak up before the situation got out of hand. Soon there were growls, followed by snapping of jaws from the wolves. Lena went to yell when suddenly she was being pulled to her feet.

"You okay?" a very concern voice belonging to her brother asks.

"Yes, but stop them before things get out of hand" Lena rushes out leaning on her brother for support, trying to take the weight off her other foot.

"You know damn well when a wolf is that worked up there is no reasoning with them. And as you can see sis, there's more than one pissed off wolf. Now let's get you somewhere safe" Her brother states pulling her away. Lena didn't care if her brother made sense, all she cared about was preventing her mate from killing everyone. She tried to pull out of his grip yelling at him that he didn't understand, and that this was all a misunderstanding. She wasn't getting anywhere with him as he pulled her along.

"Lena let Keith handle it, and stop fighting to get free before you hurt yourself even more" Jay tells her.

Lena went still when Damien growled at her when she didn't follow his orders. An ache arose in Lena's chest that caused an involuntarily whimper. They didn't understand why they're mate would growl like that at them. Trying to not think too much about it now, she knew she wasn't getting anywhere with Damian in her wolf form. They weren't bonded yet, so she couldn't mind-link him. Having no other choice, Lena goes back into her human form not caring she was standing in the middle of a crowd naked. "Stop this ridiculousness" She yells in a demanding tone, causing a few gasps across the surrounding party.

'Get out of the way Lena, NOW!' Keith order with their mind link.

'No! There is no reason for this' She mind links back.
