NIGHT BEFORE
It was the third guy, she felt they hit it off right away with. He was the one who wouldn't have her back for some reason. At first, she couldn't understand why he would let lies like that be said, after what they've talked about. They hung out at the beach to watch the sun set, he brought them food to eat as they watched the waves. Nothing ever happened between them, just a lot of talking. They had a lot in common, and she felt comfortable around him too. He never tried to make a pass or even try to kiss her at the end of their date when they hugged. He even asked her if she would like to go out with him again. She was delighted he asked her, and told him she would like that. When their next planned date came, he suddenly cancelled last minute. She didn't let it bother her, till he started to be distant. When she asked him to tell everyone that the rumors weren't true. All he could do was tell her was he was sorry this was happening to her, and if he could take it back, he would. Kaylie can still recall the torture look on his face when he said that. It wasn't till a week after that she learned it was some girl who steaked her claim on him. She was the one who started the rumors, and was queen bee there, so everyone just believed her. The two weren't destined mates, but their families were very wealthy. So, they already had their children's lives planned in case they never found they're true mates.
So ever since then Kaylie just portrayed the imagine everyone seem to have about her. It was something she will always regret doing, and there was no turning back time. But she will take those experiences and learn from them. What was really embarrassing to her, was how she acted when she found her mate. That's not who she is, but she was used to playing the part for so long. She seemed to lose herself along the way, and now it was time to fix that.
