Kaylie was paired with an alpha, and felt the goddess had her reasons. Maybe all her hard work she did in her life was for a reason, and the goddess knew that. There was no way she would let their goddess down, or think she made a mistake. If she was going to be a Luna, it was time she started acting like one.

Feeling determined and excited about her new goal in life. Kaylie quickly got washed, and was out of the tub. She was going to go talk to Darren, and get everything out in the open. There was no way she was going to let her mate think she was some ditzy girl who uses her body to get what she wants.

After she threw on a pair of pajama shorts, and a tank top. She took a quick look in the mirror making sure she looked a little presentable. The one thing she can say, that was without makeup she didn't look too bad. Her dirty blonde hair was still wet, so she threw it up in a messy bun.

Stepping out into the hall she thought she try his room first, which was two rooms down from hers. After knocking a couple times and no answer, she figured it was still early and he probably wasn't in his room. She didn't want to just walk in, because he could be sleeping. Plus, she didn't know him well enough to do that, and didn't want to give off the wrong idea.

The pack house was quiet for only being eight at night, and there still was no sign of him. She was wondering if he turned in early like most of the others did. Training was exhausting for everyone, some more than others. Deciding to wait till tomorrow to talk to him, Kaylie heading to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.

As she neared the kitchen, she heard giggling, and a male voice that sounded a lot like Darren's. There was no way she was going to let her mind get the best of her. Plus, there was a lot of people staying in the pack house, and there's probably a group of them in there. But the closer she got to the kitchen, the tighter the knots in her stomach became. Walking through the door she was greeted with Darren's back, and a girl who was running her hands over his body. His hip was leaned up against the kitchen counter, and could tell his arms were crossed. Even though she had the urge to go over there, and rip apart the girl who was touching her mate. She fought against it the best she could, because the smile on his face hurt her more than anything. The only reason she could tell he was smiling, was because there was a window across from him with his reflection. It wasn't so much the smile on his face either, but his whole demeanor behind the smile that was unsettling.

Not wanting to make a scene or show that his actions affected her. Kaylie cleared her throat grabbing both of they're attentions. "Sorry to interrupt, but I just came to get a bottle of water" she states trying to hide the acid in her tone. Darren immediately steps back the from the girl like she just burned him or something.

"Kaylie, I thought you turned in early" he says cooling, like he wasn't just doing something wrong.

"What is that supposed to mean?" she questions turning to face him.

"You know, living life the way you want. Going from having meaningless sex without getting emotionally involved to having a mate-" He starts to say, but stopped when he saw Kaylie was stiff with a face turning red.

"First off-" she starts to bite out, but quickly changed her mind. "You know what, forget it. You clearly don't know anything about me, or care to find out. You also clearly don't care that you have a mate. So just stay away from me, and do whatever 'people like us do'" she snaps backs quoted the last parts with her fingers in the air.

Walking into her room, and slamming the door behind her. Kaylie falls head first into her pillow screaming into it in frustration. Just as she was done letting out her scream her door fly's open. Turning on her side she sees Darren walking in, and closing the door behind him.
