"Well I be damned! Someone get Alpha Pierce some aloe, for my dear ol cousin just burned his ass" Blair states humorlessly. Darren wasn't even going to go there with Blair knowing it would be a waste of time. He needed to fix things with his mate. He was set out to find his mate before all this mess went down with Damian, and Lena. And nothing was going to stop him from having her in his life. Even if he has to prove his worth to her the rest of his life.

But first he needs to get her alone, and actual listen this time.

"You hear that guys?" Jay asks with a gleam of happiness behind his expression. Damian was the first one to look up from the paperwork they were looking through. At first, he thought he got lost in thinking about how to handle Ruffeas. But the expression on Jay's face told him it had nothing to do with any threat.

"Goddess, please do not feel any type of excitement, or we really will be hearing things" Ashton groans.

"For once I'll have to agree with Beta Wilder on this one" Milo spoke, knowing exactly how he feels.

"I second that" Alpha Pierce chimes in, still looking at his phone.

"I don't know why you guys act like you never get any peace and quiet" Keegan comments, before popping a chip in his mouth.

"Because we don't" The rest of the men stated in unison.

All the men in the meeting room tonight, mated and unmated ones. Seem to agree having some time away from the girls was well needed. Even though Alpha Pierce was slowly getting back into Kaylie's good graces, and it's been a couple weeks since that big fight. He royal fucked up with how he handled things with her, and still had a lot of re adjusting to do. Usually he would be trying anything to make her happy, or show how sorry he was. But the stubborn mate still seemed distant with him. So yes, he was glad the girls decided to have a girl's night. Though, they were not allowed to leave the house. Thanks to over protective Damian, who didn't care how many guards were left with them. His answer was no every time, and none of the men disagreed with him on it. So, while the other men in the room worked on whatever issue was given to them. Darren was secretly reading up on girl stuff online, so he can figure out what he is doing wrong.

"Keegan my boy, you have the quietist mate in this room. So, clearly you cannot relate to us males who don't" Elliot Evans points out to his grandchild.

"Granddad" "Dad" Jay, Keegan, and Jared scorned at the same time.

"Oh, hush it, we all know how our women can be. I might be an old man, but I'm not one to be dishonest. I love Clair more than my next breath, but even I can use a few hours to myself" He states to them like they know exactly what he was talking about, but too scared to admit it. Seeing their facial reactions had him, and Damian chuckling in amusement.

"I'll cheers to that" Damian says holding up his glass of whisky.

Before anyone could say anything else, a wave of heartache and admiration hit a few of the men at the table.

"And Blair watched it more times than I can count, and they seem to still ball their eyes out every time" Jay chimes back in, shaking his head.

"Maybe you boys should watch a romance movie sometime. You might learn something from it" Elliot suggests. "Better than anything you're going to find on the internet" He points out, patting Alpha Pierce on the shoulder. Everyone looked confused about Elliot's second comment, and looked over to a surprised Pierce. Who was jumping to his feet, and shoving his phone in his back packet.

"Old people" he mumbles, and quickly leaves the room before anyone dared asked him anything.

As the men approached the theater room, the women were walking out red tear streaked faces with tissues in their hands.

"tragédie" (tragedy) Cornelia sniffles, as she dabs her eyes with a tissuse.

"I know, I've seen it so many times and I still cry like a baby" Blair states wiping her face with the back of her hand.

The women noticed the men approaching, and quickly went straight into their embraces. Well Damian seemed to be the only one lacking a woman in his arms.
