"I'll have you know that I'm a member of the Cole Gang! I don't care if he's a big shot or a small fry; none of that works in front of me!" Maverick, with a fierce expression, declared. "I brought my family here today to eat. Do you dare to block my way?!"

Just then, in the SUV behind him, a woman in her sixties stuck her head out and tried to persuade, "Maverick, why don't we just go around? Don't argue with them…"

"No way!" Maverick interrupted with a frown. "You and Dad have bad legs and have difficulty walking. If we go around from behind, you'll have to walk an extra long distance! I will absolutely not let you two suffer a grievance!"

The elder parted her lips to speak but hesitated. Ultimately, she swallowed her words back. It seemed that she also felt helpless about her son's fierce temperament.

Meanwhile, Kingsley stood on the side, carefully observing Maverick.

If he had been alone, he certainly wouldn't have backed down and would knock a few down, even if he had to take a beating. However, his parents were still sitting in the car, and he worried they would go after the two elders after he got beaten up.

Maverick slowly lowered his fist and growled, "What, can you only rely on numbers?!"

As he spoke, he thought he would gather his men later and smash all the filming equipment inside.

Everyone whispered, but none turned to leave, and at this point, more and more people had gathered, for everyone tacitly agreed to gossip whilst hidden amongst the crowd since this burly guy would be the first to get caught in the trouble.

Maverick's fists were locked into a deadly clench as he listened to the crowd's whispers. This was undoubtedly the most aggrieved moment in his life. To make it worse, it happened before his parents. Nevertheless, he genuinely dared not confront Lawson Group head-on!

Alas, he had never been in Jarett's good graces, so he couldn't afford to clash with Lawson Group at this moment.

Maverick gnashed the back of his teeth tightly, his cheeks twitching as he appeared deadly grim.

He had appeared overbearing just a few minutes ago, but at the mention of Lawson Group, he immediately withered.
