The phone rang loudly throughout the cabin. Ezra and Jenny were finishing off the cooking in the kitchen whilst I was getting dressed. We were having guests come over any moment and I was barely ready. My time management skills weren't the best.

I zipped up my dress and sighed. I fluffed up my hair one last time and left my room. I walked down the hallway and met Ezra halfway.

"It's Beckett, for you," Ezra said, winking at me. He wanted me to talk to Beckett about staying. I smiled and nodded as I took the phone. Ezra turned around and left and I headed back to my room.

"Hello?" I called into the phone. I didn't hear any background voices and assumed that Beckett was alone.

"Hey little sister," he greeted me. I smiled warmly and sat on the bed. I crossed my legs.

"What's up?" I asked him. I heard him hum a little and then imagined him smiling and shrugging.

"Well you're supposed to be coming home in a few days and I was wondering if you had figured out what you wanted to do," Beckett replied quickly. I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. Beckett was clearly thinking that I wasn't coming back.

This would make it easier to talk to him.

"Beckett, I'm really torn on what to do here. I don't know if I should stay here or come back," I told him with a deep sigh. I imagined him nodding.

"Tell me all your options," He then said. I nodded and leaned back in my bed, staring up at the ceiling.

"Well first, I could come back and fill in as Beta female when you take over as Alpha until Samaya found his mate. Second, I could come back and never leave my bedroom again. Third, I could stay here in Takiani. Or... I could ask Uncle about possibly letting me join his pack up in the falls," I explained to Beckett. He was silent for a moment.

Beckett was a good wolf. He thought hard about everything and we was a good problem solver. He cared for everyone and was kind to anyone he came across. He was going to make a great Alpha and I think everyone knew it.

"That's tough, Ali. But it's up to you. You're the only one who can make this decision. You have to think about where you're going to be happy the most. I personally don't want you coming back here at all, not whilst Brennon is still the Beta," Beckett told me quickly. His growl was low in his throat at the end of his words and I sighed.

I understood what he meant. I knew I had to make this decision by myself, but it was hard. It was so hard because I truly had no idea what to do.

But if Beckett didn't want me to come back, maybe I shouldn't?

I sighed deeply and rubbed my forehead. "I like it here, Beck. But what if I would like it more in the falls with the family?"

Beckett was silent yet again. I could tell that he was confused too. It made it irritated and bothered. I hoped that he would know exactly what to do. But he didn't and that was okay too. I had to make this decision for myself by Friday.

It was Wednesday.

I shuddered and my wolf sighed as she sat down and moped. I felt like rolling over and sleeping.

"When the day comes, I think you'll know what to do," Beckett told me softly. I nodded and sighed again as I sat up.

He was right. I was sure I'd know what to do when the day came. But I wouldn't stop thinking about it.

"You're right... I gotta go now. I'll talk to you later," I told him as I stood up from my bed.

"Love you, little sister," Becket said and hung up.

I walked out my room and down the hallway. Our guests had finally arrived and I forced a grin as I put the phone on the counter and greeted everyone.

Alfie introduced me to his mate, Zelda. She was a tall and slim brunette. My beast liked her immediately and we felt comfortable with her around.

Of course, Lila and Brayleigh came too. They sat with me at the table and we all talked whilst the adults spoke. Kade sat close with Brayleigh, his arm around her shoulders, playing with her hair whilst we all spoke.

My beast growled sadly. We both longed for someone to love us like that. But we both knew we weren't ready. We weren't ready for a mate whatsoever. We had just come from a traumatic situation in our old pack and we weren't ready to just forgot about it and let some mate put his mark on our neck.

When we meet our mate, we were going to make him work for it. We weren't going to let him have our neck instantly. He would have to show us a lot more than love at first sight.

"I can't believe you kicked Kade's ass today. I'm so proud of you, princess," Ezra said as he walked over to me and kissed my hair. I smiled warmly at him and Kade playfully growled. Brayleigh rumbled as her male's playfulness and he tightened his grip on her, making her smile more.

"She didn't kick my ass. The mud was slippery and I fell. She jumped on me before I could get back up!" Kade lies, winking at me. I rolled my eyes at him. He was such a liar!

"Yeah right, son. She had you in the dirt more than you had her," Alfie taunted. Zelda giggled lightly and slipped her hand into Alfie's.

"Did not! I slipped," Kade argued again. I heard Jenny's lighter from the kitchen and looked up. She was shaking her head as she laughed.
