As soon as she said that, a cold gleam flickered in Shakira’s eyes Berry’s self–revealing words shocked everyone present. 

“Call Brian in the middle of the night? Even the top executives won’t dare to do that, one said. 

“How could the top executives be like Berry? They contact Brian for business reasons, while Berry must have private matters,” a girl said. 

Those who were in the loop exchanged knowing glances and smiled. Some were puzzled. “Huh? What does that mean? Did I miss something?” 

“You didn’t know? Berry is…” the girl said.

Shakira’s gaze coldly swept over Berry, who had unconsciously bitten her lower lip. She spoke slowly, “I’ve come first in my grade three times at Crescentville University.” 

Everyone gasped, nervously folding down their fingers. Being first in the grade was good enough, and three times was impressive. Berry let out a big sigh of relief as long as Shakira didn’t mention Mr. Lopez. 

“Berry, it’s your turn.” A group of girls eagerly waited to hear Berry spill the gossip; they were more excited than anyone else. Berry thought for a moment, blushing a bit. “There’s someone I like on the top floor of the Lopez Group building.” 

Once again, Berry’s revelation sent everyone into a cheering frenzy. 

“Who could it be? There are only a few guys who work on the top floor,” a girl said. 

“Who else could it be, but…” another girl said. 

“Wait. Shakira, why didn’t you fold down your finger?” someone noticed keenly, pointing out the obvious. Berry tensed up. Unlike Berry’s act of innocence, Shakira openly admitted, “The person I like is on the top floor too.” 

“Wow! Also on the top floor? Could it be that you both like the same person? Could it be any more dramatic?” a girl asked.
