Chapter 350 

“What the” 

They all looked down together and saw the building was quietly surrounded by a circle of large, menacing SUVs, from which numerous well–trained bodyguards in black suits emerged. 

From the back seat of a Maybach, Walter stepped out. His blue eyes coldly scanned upwards. Even from a distance of over ten meters, the icy chill in his gaze sent a shiver down their spines. 

Fiona started trembling all over, with her eyes showing a mix of fear and a wild, uncontrollable frenzy. Walter, you still came 

after all. 

“Fiona.” Walter’s eyes darkened as he growled in a low voice, “Give me the person, and maybe I won’t pursue it further” 

Fiona smiled. She looked down at Walter, a man that she had admired for over ten years, and who never cared for her but lavished all his kindness and love on a worthless woman. Her lips curled into a cold, mocking smile. 

She said, “Walter, I know you better than anyone. Right now, you want nothing more than to tear me to pieces. There’s no way you’ll let me go.” 

Walter clenched his fist, with urgency in his voice. “What do you really want?” 

Fiona looked at him in a daze, murmuring like she was in a trance, “Walter, I gave you a chance. You’re the one who wouldn’t accept me, and who didn’t want me.” 

“You refused Grandma’s dying wish. She couldn’t rest in peace, and I want you all to pay for it.” 

As she spoke, Fiona turned and grabbed Shakira, whose eyes were red, and dragged her to the edge of the balcony. The abandoned building had no railing, and one more step could be fatal. 

Shakira, as limp as an old doll, was pushed halfway over the wall. Her body was covered in blood, and there wasn’t a single part of her that was unharmed. 

Walter felt as if his heart was being crushed by invisible hands at the sight, filled with both anger and pain. “Shakira.” 

Shakira’s eyelids fluttered slightly as she looked at him silently. 

“Everyone, move outside, and stay back.” Fiona yelled at the bodyguards attempting to make their way upstairs. “If anyone dares to step forward, I’ll throw Shakira down.” 

With just a glance from Walter, the bodyguards backed away to outside the building, leaving only Walter downstairs. 

His eyes were slightly wet and filled with a fierce redness as he looked at her. “Fiona, if you hurt her, I’ll make you pay back a thousand times over.” 

Every syllable was filled with intense hatred. 

Fiona felt a chill in her heart, with tears streaming down her cheeks. 

She cried, “Why? Walter, why are you defending her so much? Just because she gave you acupuncture and helped treat you. You think she truly likes you and genuinely cares about you? The truth is, she’s been lying to you all along.” 

She wished she could wake up the confused Walter. 

“We tried everything to find Dr. Lonely Bird to heal you, but what did Shakira do? She’s Dr. Lonely Bird herself. Yet, she hid it, watching you suffer and watching us get fooled, while she got close to you with hidden motives from the beginning.”

Walter felt his heart tremble,slightly. 

So, Shakira was Dr. Lonely Bird. 

This news was incredibly shocking, but as he connected all the dots, everything seemed so logical. 

Yes, her medical skills were so advanced, plus the special treatment she got from people like Matthew… 

Walter pressed his lips together slightly. “This is a matter between her and me. We’ll sort it out.” 

He implied there was no need for an outsider like Fiona to interfere. 

Fiona was incredulous. “You’re not upset with her? She treated you like a fool and manipulated you. You hate being deceived, and yet somehow you’re not angry with her?” 

Suddenly, an intense wave of jealousy and hatred appeared on her face. 

“What about me? I gathered the best medical team worldwide for you, put in efforts and even sacrificed my dignity. Why don’t you notice me? Why don’t you care about me?”

Her piercing, accusatory voice echoed throughout the abandoned building. 

“You… have no right to morally blackmail Walter.” 

At this moment, Shakira let out a soft–laugh between breaths. “You call that putting in efforts, but actually, you added addictive anesthetics to the medicine, ensuring that over time, he wouldn’t be able to live without your so–called miracle drugs.” 

Shakira’s words were light but full of sarcasm. “You say you did it to help him, but it was really all for yourself.” 

“No, it wasn’t. You’re making that up.” Fiona strongly denied it, but the mix of embarrassment and anger on her face showed she was furious. “You wicked person, you’re the one doing things behind my back and ruining my plans.” 

No wonder Walter no longer needed her or her medicine. Shakira had known all along, and she was the one who messed up her plans. 

“You wicked person, it was you, it was you all along.” Fiona, overwhelmed with emotions and furious with her red eyes, screamed and pushed Shakira with all her might as if she wanted to finish her off right there. 

Seeing half of her body already hanging dangerously over the edge, Walter felt a jolt in his heart. His legs, as if having a mind of their own, left the wheelchair, and he stood up, trying to take a step forward. 

This scene left everyone there completely shocked. 

“Mr. Lopez, you can stand?” Brian was thrilled, and even Fiona was so shocked that she momentarily forgot what she was doing. 

But just as everyone was stunned, Walter didn’t even have the chance to take a step before his knees suddenly buckled, and he fell hard to the ground, causing dust to rise. 

“Mr. Lopez,” Brian cried. 

Shakira turned to the side, with her hair tousled by the wind. She missed the moment Walter stood up, but saw him fall awkwardly to the ground. 

That fall seemed to hit the most tender and painful spot in her heart. “Walter, don’t…Walter, don’t…” 

Fiona said, “Haha, oh wow. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe you’d go this far for her. You’re so afraid I’ll throw her over. You even gave up your pride, knowing you can’t stand but still wanting to save her.”

For Shakira, he was willing to risk everything, but he never showed her any kindness. 

Fiona sneered with a mocking smile, but couldn’t stop her tears as she cried out in accusation, “Walter, how can you be so heartless.” 

Walter pressed his hands on the ground, with anger boiling inside him. He clenched his fists tightly as veins bulged. 

Mr. and Mrs. Banks rushed in and almost fainted when they saw the scene upstairs. 

Mr. Banks was furious. “Fiona. How many more wicked things will you do before you stop? Get down here now? 

Seeing them, Fiona laughed loudly, with her eyes empty and filled with despair. 

She knew why Walter was able to find her. 

She cried, “I knew it. You guys kicked me out and would never let me return. It’s all lies. You’re all helping Walter and supporting that witch Shakira.” 

“Fiona. Your father and I are trying to help you.” Mrs. Banks covered her mouth, with tears running down her cheeks. “Silly child, just let them go, and we’ll take you home.” 

Fiona’s face twisted in a frenzy. “Help me? If you really want to help me, let me get rid of that witch. She’s the reason Grandma couldn’t rest in peace, and it’s Walter’s cold heart that stopped Grandma’s last wishes from being fulfilled.” 

“Fiona, how much longer are you going to keep fooling yourself Shakira’s eyes were deep. “Jaslene told me something on the phone before she passed away. I recorded it. Listen to it, and you’ll find out who really let her down.” 

Fiona’s eyes widened as she quickly grabbed her phone and opened the recordings.
