Chapter 84 

Upon hearing this price, Fiona couldn’t help but laugh. “Matthey, you’ve been out of the game for too long. A thousand won’t get you far; I’ll give you ten million!” 

‘Matthew‘ shook his head. “One thousand per needle; that thousand refers to 50 kg of gold.” 

The room filled with gasps of astonishment. 

Even Fiona was left dumbfounded, standing there in shock. “How much?” She had just mocked the low offer and was now completely taken aback! 

Shakira leisurely calculated, a cold smile playing on her lips. “Fifty thousand grams of gold at today’s price–Matthew, isn’t this price a bit steep? One injection costs tens of millions; why not just rob a mint?” 

Just then, Shakira’s phone vibrated twice. She picked it up and saw a message from Jasmin. 

[I’m with my master now; he just scolded me for two hours T–T Uncle–in–arms, do you want to get in touch and build some rapport?] 

Shakira’s eyes glinted as she quickly typed back. 

‘Matthew‘ feigned profundity. “I have my own principles; if Mr. Lopez is dissatisfied with the price, then I’ll have to take my 

leave. 

He stood up again, and Fiona, anxious, glanced toward Walter. 

Walter’s expression was complex; after a moment of contemplation, he spoke to retain him. “I can agree to Matthew’s request, but I have a condition of my own. Let’s not delay–Matthew, please help me with the first treatment now.” Walter didn’t want to wait any longer since the opportunity was right before him. 

“Young man, your ailment has been ongoing for a while; it won’t be resolved in just one or two treatments, so don’t rush it ‘Matthew‘ changed his tone. “However, I can accommodate you, but it will only be basic treatment, three injections at a time. this will count as the treatment, and you must pay for all three injections.” 

Walter raised his hand, and Brian produced a check, handing it to him. 

Walter uncapped his pen, scribbled a figure on the check, tore it off, and passed it to Matthew. “Three injections for 30 million dollars; I can pay immediately.” 

‘Matthew‘ took the check that Brian handed to him, realizing his own eagerness. He coughed lightly. “Mr. Lopez is indeed a straightforward man; let’s not delay. Shall we begin now?” 

“Matthew, please.” 

“Matthew approached Walter, pulling out a golden needle wrapped in silk. He pinched one needle between his fingers, gently gliding the other hand over Walter’s leg. Suddenly, he gripped Walter’s wrist, his fingertip pinpointing a spot, and without hesitation, he inserted the needle. 

Walter’s brow furrowed tightly. 

Shakira was also stunned. ‘Goodness! This ‘Matthew‘ is quick and precise with the needle. Walter is here for leg treatment, yet he’s jabbing Walter’s arm instead! Incredible!” 

Fiona was shocked too. “Matthew, isn’t Walter supposed to be treated for his legs? Why?” 

Matthew‘ said in a calm voice, “Don’t interrupt me while I’m administering treatment.” 

Chapter 84 

Fiona quickly covered her mouth, obediently falling silent. 

After administering the first injection, Matthew swiftly completed the remaining two, all in Walter’s arm. After about five minutes, he asked Walter, “Do you feel anything unusual?” 

Walter’s brow remained tightly knit. “Nothing” 

“Nothing is normal; your legs… are indeed seriously injured. No wonder you’ve been unable to find a cure. ‘Matthew’ said in a deep tone. “Fortunately, you met me. After that, he casually pressed down on Walter’s leg, his technique lacking in precision. Suddenly, he touched a specific spot on Walter’s knee, causing Walter’s left leg to twitch unexpectedly. 

Fiona gasped in shock, “It moved! Walter, you can move it!” 

Brian was also pleasantly surprised, “Mr. Lopez, you’re feeling it As expected of Matthew, he’s truly different; these three needles are more effective than the treatments of the past six months!” 

‘Matthew‘ received high praise and, after a moment of stunned silence, felt a bit light–headed with pride, “This is quite ordinary. If the three needles had no effect, wouldn’t that be a waste of my reputation? 

Shakira, standing behind them, couldn’t help but laugh. This person has one story in front and another behind; he’s so good at making excuses for himself. Fiona really has some skill to find such a comical fraud. 

Unable to watch any longer, Shakira interjected, “Matthew’s three needles target acupoints for treating insothnia and kidney deficiency. How could that possibly have any therapeutic effect on Walter’s legs? It’s not like he can attack from a distance!” 

Fiona shot Shakira a glare, then pretended to understand, “Shakira, are you afraid that if Matthew cures Walter, you’ll be kicked out of the Lopez family? Is that why you’re making sarcastic comments?” 

‘Matthew‘ remained calm and gently advised Shakira, “Young lady, your words show that your knowledge of acupuncture is quite superficial. Ignorance breeds boldness; I won’t blame you, but you really need to study harder in the future.” 

“Is that so?” Shakira waved her phone, “Just so happens I know a fellow disciple of yours, Matthew; why don’t you two have a chat?” After saying this, Shakira pointed the phone’s camera at ‘Matthew. On the screen appeared an elderly man in a specially made white coat from Clusia Hospital. He leaned in close, wearing reading glasses, with a flat face magnified on the screen. “Let me see, you brat, can’t you get a bigger phone? I can’t see clearly… Master, is that you? Why didn’t you tell me when you came to Crescentville? Hey, why are you dressed like this? Didn’t you hate wearing sunglasses? You look ridiculous.” 

As soon as those words were spoken, Walter began to sense something and his expression darkened immediately. 

‘Matthew‘ jumped up in fright, looking as if he had been startled, and darted behind the sofa, “Who are you? Get that away from me, quickly!” 

Seeing 

this, Fiona shouted angrily, “Shakira, what are you doing? We finally persuaded Matthew to treat Walter; if you anger him and he refuses, I’ll kill you!” 

Shakira looked at the sprightly old man and couldn’t help but laugh. Fiona, this is Matthew’s disciple, currently the special invited director of the medical research department at Clusia Hospital; he’s here and knows more about Matthew than we do. But the Matthew you invited doesn’t even recognize him!” Shakira pointed at the person who had already darted behind the sofa, “He’s not Matthew at all; he’s just a fraud!” 

“You’re talking nonsense. He is Matthew; he- 

“Brian, bring Matthew over. Walter commanded, and Brian quickly, jumped onto the sofa, grabbing the person from behind the sofa as if picking up a chick. He directly removed the sunglasses and mask from Matthew, revealing a middle–aged man with a pockmarked face.”
