Chapter 4
Arriving at the scene of the accident, I happened to see Wayne pinning down the other driver and hitting him.
The scene was extremely chaotic, and both of their cars had varying degrees of dents.
There was a noticeable dent in the front of Wayne’s car.
I was about to step forward to intervene, but I was pulled back by his assistant
“Mrs. Reid, please don’t go over now. What if you get accidentally injured?
I frowned. “He never used to fight. What happened?”
The assistant sighed and said, “This driver saw Carina driving and teased her, which caused Carina to accidentally rear–end another car. Mr. Reid was scared and worried about Carina, so he hit the driver.”
His voice abruptly stopped, and he looked at me nervously, tentatively asking, “Mrs. Reid, I was just tallding nonsense. Please don’t be angry with M

A sharp pain instantly swept through my body, causing me to groan in pain.
As the blood slowly seeped through my clothes, my forehead broke out in a profuse cold sweat.
Wayne’s eyes were filled with worry. He let go of the driver and ran to Carina’s side, passing by me. His tone was very anxious.
The colleagues accompanying her explained, “Don’t worry, Mr. Reid. Carina might have just peen scared and tainted.”
My son looked at me in surprise. “Mom? Are you here to take me home?
