The 17–year–old Wayne said, “You told me that I would speak harshly to Allison in the future. These are not actually prophecies but rather things you experienced, right?”

I laughed at myself, replying, “Yes.”

“Allison, the future me disappointed you, causing you to beg me to stay away from you, right?”

Wayne’s eyes turned red, and he remained silent for a while. Finally, he asked me, “Allison, you regret marrying me, right?”
