I was preparing to head back to Green Orange when Susan gave me a call.

Come to think of it, it had been a long time since I saw her too.

"Susan, long time no see."

"I'm at the hospital."

I was about to start my car but my hand paused on the wheel. "What? Why are you in the hospital? Where's Tyler?"

Likely hearing the panic in my voice, Susan hurriedly replied, "Don't worry, it’s nothing big. Come over first. I'll wait for you here."

I arrived at the hospital and instantly saw Susan, who was standing at the entrance.

I looked her over. "What's wrong, Susan? Are you not feeling well?"

Seeing me so anxious, Susan could not help but smile. "I've just been a little tired recently. So…"

She leaned into my ear and said to me softly. My shock when I first heard it turned to surprise. "Are you saying you're pregnant?"

"Don't get so excited. I came for a check-up, but Tyler is busy at the moment. That's why I called you. Despite going through it once, I'm still a little nervous," Susan said with her head lowered. She looked like she was embarrassed.

"This is great news. Let me accompany you." I wrapped my arm around Susan's as we made our way into the hospital. "Seriously, though. Tyler didn’t even accompany you the first time, yet he's not here even now. I need to give him a good talking to."

"Don't blame him. He'll be over soon when he's done with what he needs to do.

I could see Susan's happiness on her face. Being in love sure made things different.

After ascertaining that Susan was indeed pregnant, she went into Ultrasound Room B to get herself checked while I waited for her outside.

It was always busy at the hospital. I was watching the crowd as they passed and went when I suddenly caught a glimpse of a familiar silhouette.

I hurriedly went up and followed him to a ward.

"How are you feeling today, my dear?"

It was his wife who was at the hospital. No wonder he took leave to look after her.

"The pregnancy is going along fine. The baby is still tiny at the moment. Look." She handed me the form.

Tyler came up to us.

"Ty, the check-up is already done and you only arrive now?"

"Since you're here now, then I won't trouble you two anymore."
