“Take these things away,” Brian glanced at the soup in front of him that he hadn’t drunk. “Don’t cook for me anymore. It’s not your job to do so.”

Madeline’s eyes welled up with tears. She knew these were things that Jessica should do.

She didn’t know why Brian suddenly realized something was wrong after taking a nap.
