“Yeah, I bet some people are seething right now. Brian and his wife? First loves, married for a decade, raising a son together, and now expecting another child. That kind of love? No homewrecker in the world could touch it.”

During the lunch break, a group of employees huddled together, chatting away with enthusiasm.

One of the more plugged–in staff members, always the first to catch new gossip online, suddenly sat up with excitement. “Guys, look at the trending topics. There’s a fresh scoop about Mr. Atkinson spoiling his wife again!”

“For real? More material? Show me!”

“Wait, wait, I want to see it too. Where is it?”

Phones were out in an instant as everyone scrambled to find the post.

Soon enough, a new video surfaced at the top of the trending list. Brian Atkinson, dressed in a sharply tailored designer suit, was seen casually strolling through a local street fair, buying matching couple bracelets.

“Wait, so that’s what those are? Couple bracelets? I was wondering why Mr. Atkinson ditched his luxury watches lately and switched to something so… plain. It’s just a crystal charm bracelet!”

“Isn’t that the kind of cheap freebie you get at mall events? I can’t believe he’d actually wear that.”

“Clearly, it’s because his wife likes it. Isn’t that obvious?”

“This is straight out of a romance novel. The cold CEO who’s secretly the perfect husband? It’s too sweet to handle.”

“I swear, Brian and his wife have the kind of love that makes your teeth ache. They have to stay together forever.”

Passing by at that moment, Jackson caught the last line and shook his head almost imperceptibly.

If these people ever found out that Brian and Jessica had actually divorced ages ago, it would probably crush their souls.

For the sake of their emotional stability and to restore some order, Jackson slapped the freshly printed project brief onto the nearest shoulder.

“Alright, fun’s over. Time to get back to work. We’ve got overtime to/pull.”

A collective groan rose immediately.

“Ugh, not again. That’s the third time this week.”

“What can I say? Business is booming.” Jackson spread his hands in mock surrender.

Everyone’s spirits sank even further. They all knew what had triggered the sudden surge in orders, and somehow, it only made things worse.

Not only were they working themselves to exhaustion, but they also had to watch their boss flaunt his picture–perfect romance. And now, because of that very romance, their workload had doubled.

Before long, someone anonymously vented online, and without meaning to, pushed Brian back into the spotlight, another trending topic.

When the PR department reported the incident, Brian couldn’t help but let out

helpless laugh.

“Sir, the traffic is off the charts. We don’t recommend trying to suppress it,” the head of PR said cautiously.

To be honest, he didn’t think it needed suppressing at all. After all, it wasn’t negative press.

If anything, he wished he could fan the flames a little more. Free publicity like this didn’t come often, and it wasn’t costing them a cent.
