Before Rylee could reach the woman, Jax grabbed her hand, throwing her 

back against the wall, his grip tightening around her throat. 

“Rylee, if you hurt her again, you won’t see another sunrise!” 

He ignored Rylee and gently escorted the woman into the house. Rylee 

collapsed to the floor, gasping for air. She’d almost been choked to death! Terror 

overwhelmed her. She tried to flee, but a sharp pain shot through her lower 

abdomen, followed by a rush of blood. Her face went white. She clutched her 

stomach, screaming. 

“My baby! Help! Someone help!” 

The maids rushed in, carrying Rylee to the hospital. Guests whispered and 

gossiped. Liam watched the whole thing with amusement, chatting with a guest. 

“Didn’t Serenity commit suicide? What’s happening?” 

The guest hushed him.“Keep it to yourself. Don’t take about it when Jax’s 

around.” 

“Why?” 

“He’s been crazy since Serenity died. He told everyone that she didn’t kill 

herself but left because she was angry with him. He said he’d win her back…”

“We thought he was talking nonsense, but then he really brought a woman 

back and claimed it was Serenity.” 

“His family took him to the doctor against his will. It turned out he’d 

suffered memory damage from the trauma.” 

“In his memory, Serenity didn’t commit suicide but went abroad. He begged 

her for a long time and she finally followed him back, and she asked him to 

divorce Rylee and marry her after Rylee’s baby was born.” 

Liam chuckled. It seemed unnecessary for him to do anything. He texted 

Sera, who was still in Italy. 

“He’s nuts!” 

Sera, who had just read the news, shuddered. She replied, “Don’t tell me 

anything about him. I don’t want to hear it.” 

He smiled, putting away his phone, turning to Damon, who was cleaning up 

Jax’s mess. 

“This is a disaster.” Liam patted Damon’s shoulder sympathetically. Jax was 

unfit to run the family. 

Three days later, Liam heard more about Rylee from Damon. The shock
