Once Jared Crawford’s butler was done settling the matter, he returned to the villa to report to Jared on the completion of his task.

“Mr. Crawford, Miss Sanders has been taken away by the police, but she doesn’t admit that she killed Mrs. Crawford — she insists that it was a suicide.”

“Get to the bottom of it.”

Jared seemed to have changed into another person overnight. He was initially only harsh and indifferent, but he had suddenly become sharp and grim like a sword from a scabbard, which was incredibly sharp.

The butler could not help but lower his head. “I will.”

However, there was no proof that Janice killed Gwen and no trace could be found at the scene. Due to the lack of witnesses and material evidence, Janice was released after being in jail for three days.

The first thing she did after she was released was to find Jared at the Crawford villa!

Janice used to have full access to the place in the past, but just as she wanted to enter this time, she was stopped by the bodyguards, who said that they had to report about her arrival first. Since Janice could not barge her way in, she could only wait outside.

A servant reported the matter to Jared, “Mr. Crawford, Miss Sanders wants to see you.”

Jared simply uttered, “Drive her away.”

The servant responded, “Yes.”

Although the law could not convict Janice of the crime, based on everything she did to Gwen, Jared would not let her go so easily.

Nobody knew what exactly Jared did, but when someone saw Janice again sometime after, she was no longer the well-dressed Miss Sanders. Instead, she was a waitress in a small restaurant, where she would be mistreated if she did something wrong.

On top of that, the lady boss had even put some medicinal powder in Janice’s water because she suspected that the beautiful Janice was seducing her husband. As a result, Janice’s face and body were covered in rashes, and she was ordered to wash the dishes in the backyard to not scare the customers.

Someone had asked Janice why she did not leave. In any case, she had a good educational background, hence she did not have to work as a dishwasher. Janice could only cry a thousand tears in response to that question because she had no choice but to stay. She was conned to the small workshop where she signed a bill for a huge debt, thus she had to work for ten years to be set free.
