Shaun and Samantha never thought the ship would get caught in a storm. They didn't manage to get on the ship, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. They would've lost their lives otherwise.

It just so happened that the Thompson family thought the two of them had gotten on the ship. So, Samantha and Shaun seized the chance to leave Jadonia.

Later on, they learned from the news that Alex fell sick and succumbed to his illness. There wasn't much news about the Thompson family after that.

"Stop crying, Mom," said Shaun, his voice soft. "I'm fine."

"Why didn't you tell me that you're alive?" Sandra sobbed. "Do you know how upset I was? You're my only child! How could you just leave me like that?"

Sandra hit his back as she wept, but she was afraid of hurting him and just hugged him in the end.

Shaun glanced at Will before saying. "I'm sure you know why Samantha and I didn't tell you anything."

Will pursed his lips in silence. He knew what those words implied. They implied that it was Will's fault that Shaun and Samantha left without telling Sandra that they were fine.

Even so, Will didn't think he was at fault. Shaun eloped with Sandra. That was a fault in itself!

Upon hearing those words, Sandra turned to shoot Will a glare, which made him subconsciously straighten his back.

In a serious tone, Will said, "Alright, that's enough crying. Everything's fine as long as they're back. Let's head home. We don't want people staring at us."

He received another glare from Sandra in return. After a moment of speechlessness, he said, "Did I say something wrong?"

Based on what Will's vice commander said, the reason Will and Sandra drifted apart was because of Shaun's supposed death.

But now that Shaun was back, why did Will still feel like she was mad at him? Her attitude toward Will even seemed to have taken a turn for the worse.

Shaun answered, "If we're going home, we're going home together. No one gets left behind."

It was understood that the four of them wouldn't be heading home if Will didn't agree to Shaun and Samantha's marriage.

"Of course, we're all going back together!" Sandra responded before Will could say anything. "Hurry up and tell the chauffeur to get ready. Samantha's pregnant now. She must be tired after standing for so long. We all need to go back and get some rest."

She couldn't care less what Will thought. Turning around, she held Samantha's hand and started to lead the way.

"I'm not tired, Mrs. Thompson," said Samantha with a smile.

"Don't call me that! Look at how Zach and Keith have grown! Just call me Sandra!" Sandra insisted. Something crossed her mind, and she added, "Have you two had your wedding? It doesn't matter! We'll hold a magnificent wedding for you two now that you're back!"
