Linda did not correct them and smiled. "Thank you."

"Mom, Aunt Linda is disrespecting you and Aunt Ember." Aurora linked arms with Karen after exiting the car. She fumed at the guests who were flattering Linda.

Though the Killian family was wealthy, their family was always humble and not wasteful. Ember and Karen always kept their birthday celebrations humble, unlike Linda's extravagant display.
