Summary of Chapter 780 from Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 780 marks a crucial moment in Swnovelss’s Love novel, Under the Heiress' Facade. This chapter blends tension, emotion, and plot progression to deliver a memorable reading experience — one that keeps readers eagerly turning the page.

Catherine was watching a show in the living room when the doorbell rang. The maid in the kitchen hurriedly wiped her hands dry and went to open the door.

"Hi. Who are you looking for?" the maid asked.

Everly had a mask and cap on, so the maid couldn't recognize her. After removing her mask, she asked, "Is Wayne at home?"

The maid thought Everly looked familiar, and when Everly took off the mask, she exclaimed, "Ms. Chime? What happened to you?"

Hearing the commotion, Catherine got up to see what it was all about. When her gaze fell on the person with a cap at the door, she asked, "Everly, what happened to you?"

On her way here, Everly tried thinking of something sad to make herself cry and look pitiful when she met Catherine. It came as no surprise that Catherine was at home instead of Wayne.

Everly's eyes swelled with tears as she rushed over to Catherine and put her arms around the old lady. "Mrs. Jones, I missed you so much!"

Catherine's heart broke when she saw Everly's tears. She had watched Everly grow up, after all. It was only natural that she sympathized with Everly.

"What's wrong? What happened to you? Let me take a look at your injuries." Catherine's voice was laced with worry.

Everly didn't refuse. All the better to have her injuries tended to without spending a dime. Catherine wanted to lead Everly inside to tend to her wound.

"Mrs. Jones, is this really alright?" the maid asked after a moment's hesitation.

Hera once said not to allow Everly to enter the house or meet Catherine and that the maids should inform Hera if Everly came here.

Although Bernard had sent the maid to work here, Everly knew that the maid listened to Hera and would definitely tell Hera about her arrival.

Now wasn't the time for Everly to get into a fight with Hera. Everly would make herself a joke if that really happened.

"Mrs. Jones, I was wrong. I'll repent and turn a new leaf," Everly said between sobs. She wiped her tears with a hand and pretended to look remorseful. "I let Hera down. I won't head inside if she's still mad at me. I'm here for Wayne. Is he not home?"

"Wayne said he had some business to attend to. He left this morning. He'll probably come back later tonight," said Catherine, her heart breaking for Everly.

The wound on Everly's arms was huge, and blood had accumulated around the wound. If they didn't help her with it, she'd lose her arm. She just had an abortion and was extremely pale. If she didn't get proper treatment, she'd suffer from certain diseases for the rest of her life.

"Okay. Thank you, Mrs. Jones," Everly croaked, pretending to be upset. "I'll turn a new leaf. But I… "

She faltered, which made Catherine curious.

"What's wrong?" Catherine was worried now.

"I got into debt. They're forcing me to return the money. If I don't, they'll… " Everly stopped speaking again.

Catherine had experienced this before, so she knew what would happen if Everly didn't pay the loan sharks back.

Wayne and Everly had helped Catherine plenty of times back then. After seeing how remorseful and sincere Everly was, Catherine's heart softened.

Eventually, Catherine asked, "How much do you need?"

"Two hundred grand," Everly answered right away.
