Wayne's heart dropped seeing the two jump down. He stood at the edge of the cliff, trying to pull the rope back. The two armed men immediately approached him, aiming their guns to push him away. Just then, snipers in the woods quickly dealt with the two men.

Startled by the two men falling, Wayne turned around, only to see two special forces soldiers, armed with guns, rushing out from the trees.

Before Hera jumped, she took advantage of Wayne's struggle for the rope to tap her earpiece and gesture behind her back.

Aaron, watching the situation through binoculars, immediately understood what she meant—"Are you ready?"

He was surprised. "Hera, how did you know the hand signals Azure Wolf uses during operations?"

After asking, he felt the question was unnecessary. Of course, it was Bernard who taught her.

But he certainly didn't know that Bernard had taught Hera those signals while they were in bed. One gesture for one kiss, and if she couldn't remember, he would just keep kissing her. By the end of the night, her kissing skills had improved dramatically.

Hera blushed slightly.

"Ahem, it's almost done. Just keep her occupied a little longer..." Aaron checked the progress on the other side.

He refocused the binoculars and suddenly realized that Hera and the others were at the cliff's edge. "Hey, Hera, what are you planning?"

Hera gestured again, "Jump off the cliff."

Aaron exclaimed, "No, Hera. Don't act impulsively!"

Hera quickly gestured, "Take care of the two mercenaries when I jump. Then, get me back up."

"Hera, grab the rope ladder!" Wayne and the two soldiers stood at the cliff's edge, where they threw down a rope ladder.

Looking up at the rescue, Everly's heart sank. She knew she couldn't let Hera get back up!

As Hera swung toward the ladder, Everly tried to fasten her rope buckle to Hera's rope while desperately shaking it to prevent Hera from reaching the ladder. Hera reached for the ladder three times, and just as she was about to grab it, Everly interfered again. Hera kicked her immediately.

Everly yowled but held onto the rope tightly. Seeing Hera preparing to kick again, she gripped her dagger and plunged it into Hera's thigh.

Blood flowed immediately, and Hera let out a muffled grunt.

Suddenly, both of them felt the rope drop. Looking up, they realized the rope had been tampered with and was slowly fraying, unable to support both their weight. There was only a thin thread left for them to hang on.
