"It was that scumbag's fault! You fell off a cliff," Gino explained. "We kept looking for you afterward."

Hera could hear the spite in Gino's voice when the word "scumbag" left his mouth. It was as clear as day how much Gino hated that man.

"What's worse, he fell in love with another woman! He hurt you and wiped out every bit of information we could get about you. He forbade anyone from bringing you up. He'd get rid of anyone who brought you up."

Gino clenched his fists out of rage when he spoke. Meanwhile, Hera thought long and hard after hearing it all. If what he said was true, her misery was probably caused by that scumbag of a man and his scheming lover.

Hera wondered if she truly was so foolish back then. Did she really get cheated on and lied to by a scumbag?

Gino was at a loss for words.

Hera's eyes shot to Dora. Her gaze was sharp when she spoke, "When did you start reading stories like that?"

Realizing that she had made a slip of the tongue, Dora covered her mouth and shook her head frantically. "No, I don't secretly read them."

"Oh, so you read them when I'm not paying attention," said Hera coldly, and Dora's hand shot to her mouth once more.

It seemed like Hera's past wasn't pleasant. Hera decided that it was best for the twins to stop listening to Gino's recollection of her past.

To send the twins away, she asked, "Have the two of you finished your homework?"

Dora's face became all scrunched up at the mention of homework. She dreaded doing her homework!

It was especially so when she ordered the twins to do their homework. The scene felt so familiar to Gino. Back then, she'd give him homework all the time. If it weren't for her doing so, he wouldn't have achieved what he had today.

If only Hera had returned to the Everett family a bit sooner, Gino was sure that he'd be as good as Dylan in terms of hacking skills.
