Johnson: "Don't change the topic. Tell us what happened!"

Samson: "Yeah, stop changing the topic."

Theo: "I met Hera yesterday afternoon. I don't think she lost her memories, so I told her about it. Oh right, Esther is actually Hera. Douglas, I thought you should know this."

Samson: "What in the world?"

Theo's words caused quite a commotion as messages from the others started flooding the group chat.

When Douglas saw the words "Esther is actually Hera", he fretted and broke out in a cold sweat. He didn't have the time to waste on gossiping anymore because he was already on his way to look for Bernard.

In the office, Hera looked at the number on her phone. Douglas has given her Felix's number, but considering the time difference between their countries, she didn't call Felix right away.

Instead, she sent him a message to know if he was awake and would answer her call at this hour.

A few seconds after the message was sent, Felix video-called her.

"Dr. Shadow? It's you! You're alive!" he said through the phone.

Only after seeing Hera's face on the screen did he make sure that he wasn't dreaming. When he saw her message just now, he thought that it was from a scammer.

That was the reason he video-called her.

"Yes, I'm alive," Hera said. She noticed that Felix's hair had turned white. He must've been stressed out in the past five years for his hair to turn like this.

"That's great! I couldn't believe the horrible news five years ago," Felix said with a relieved sigh.

After chatting for a bit, Hera started talking business. "How's Bernard?"

"I knew you contacted me for that," said Felix knowingly. He placed his phone on the phone stand on the table and poured himself some coffee before continuing.

She wasn't too upset or dejected about it. "It's not that bad. At least he won't suffer a relapse again because of me."

"Theoretically speaking, that is indeed the case."

Whether a person could regain their memories depended on the situation. Felix just didn't bring this up to her, but she knew it since she studied medicine just like he did.

Felix tried to comfort her, "Don't be too upset about it. Although he doesn't remember you, his likes and preferences won't change. He liked you in the past. I'm sure he'll still fall for you in the future. That is, as long as you don't give up on him."

"Okay. Thanks for looking after him for the past few years."
