Hearing that made Hera's eyes light up, and she pushed Bernard aside. She immediately stood up to walk toward the screen.

"As I was saying…"

Bernard was momentarily speechless. He rose from the couch as confusion filled his gaze. His voice was still slightly hoarse as he said, "You know I wasn't talking about this."

Hera noticed his odd gaze and instinctively took a step back. However, he still managed to grab hold of her.

After ravaging each other, Bernard held Hera in his arms while pressed up against each other on the couch. She had a faint, pleasant scent and even tasted good. However, he couldn't recall any memories of them from five years ago.

"Can we talk business now?" Hera pushed Bernard aside while struggling to get up.

That scumbag didn't put on a condom again! She had to buy a contraceptive pill as soon as possible.

Since her clothes were completely ripped apart, Bernard called his secretary to bring a clean set of women's clothes.

The secretary entered the office, blushing as she delivered the clothes. That made Hera's cheeks burn as well.

She usually never suppressed her desires, but she would separate business and pleasure by never crossing the line at work. Yet Bernard made her break that rule.

However, it was a rather exciting experience. Hera cleared her throat.

"I can let you have the chips, but they're only authorized for use for the new edition of your household robots." Bernard slowly put on the clothes he had taken out from the small room in his office.

His voice alone made it sound like a serious business negotiation. However, since he was getting dressed, it didn't seem to match the situation.

He meant that the chips could only be used on the robots designed by Hera. Any other robots weren't permitted to use the chips.

By then, he was fully dressed and sitting at his usual spot behind the desk. He was back to his usual ruthless and arrogant self. It was as if nothing had happened earlier.

"That works. Ask someone to draw up the contract again, and I'll ask Mr. Whitlock to sign it with you." Hera got her things together. After putting on the jacket, she hurried out of the office.

Bernard scowled silently. No one would ever agree to such stingy terms. He never expected Hera to give in so easily.

She also took off so quickly once he laid out his terms. Was she in such a hurry to return to Vanta?

Bernard rose from his seat in displeasure and walked toward the floor-to-ceiling window. From there, he could see the company's front entrance.

Not long after, he saw a red Ferrari stop at the entrance. Hera walked forward and scanned her surroundings cautiously before quickly getting into the car.
