After exiting the office, Hera immediately contacted Margaret to pick her up. Hera was somewhat self-conscious as she had worn a different outfit upon arriving at XS Corporation.

It didn't seem appropriate if too many people noticed that she had changed her clothes. Hence, she was slightly more cautious as she exited the building. As soon as she hurried into the car, she asked Margaret to drive away.

"Esther, did you offend someone? Why were you running so fast?" Margaret teased after noticing how anxious Hera was.

Hera cleared her throat uncomfortably. "Take me to a pharmacy."

"Do you feel unwell? Shall I take you to the hospital right away?" Margaret quickly questioned.

Hera answered, "No need. A pharmacy would do."

"Sure thing." Margaret hurriedly found a pharmacy and parked outside.

Hera entered and bought contraceptive pills. After swallowing one, she came out and got into the car again.

"Are you really okay? Do you really not need to go to the hospital?" Margaret was still rather uneasy.

"I'm fine. Take me back to Jedburgh," Hera remarked.

Margaret suddenly remembered that Hera was a doctor and even established her own clinic. She should be fine.

"But Mr. Whitlock ordered me to bring you to him once you're out of XS Corporation," Margaret added.

Hera scowled slightly. Vanta indeed understood her very well. He knew that she had no intention of contacting him so soon after leaving XS Corporation. Hence, he ordered Margaret to take her to him.

Half an hour later, Margaret stopped the car in front of a five-star hotel before turning to speak to Hera. "Mr. Whitlock is waiting for you in Room 8088."

She said, "You've had too much to drink, so it's not the right time to discuss this. You should take a rest first. We'll speak once you're sober."

After speaking, she turned to leave. However, Vanta suddenly rushed from behind to hold her back before pushing her onto the bed.

"What are you doing?" Hera struggled to push him away, but he refused to let go of her hands.

"You act like a call girl and let him do whatever he wants to you. Why can't you do the same with me?" Vanta growled.

Hera was startled. She knew Vanta valued her for helping him a lot in his business, yet she never expected that he actually desired her.

"Vanta! Do you know what the hell you're saying?" she yelled icily.

"Am I wrong? I'm sure you know better than I do about how you gave yourself to him! If he can have you, why can't I?"

Vanta continued yelling with bloodshot eyes, "I'm just as powerful as he is in the West! I can also provide whatever he has given to you! What does he have that I don't? Haven't I treated you well enough? How could you sleep with him so easily?"
