Dora's eyes brightened at the idea of returning to the Killian residence. "Are we going back to the Killian residence? Is Daddy taking us to meet the rest of the family?"

The netizens had described the Killian residence as big and stunning as a palace. Dora became excited as she imagined the place to be her future home.

Dora no longer had to worry about Hera being unable to raise her or afford to buy meat.

The driver answered, "Yes."

"Is my mom going there as well?" Dylan asked suspiciously.

The driver paused before saying, "Yeah."

Dylan settled back in his seat, pretending that he believed the driver. However, he knew that they had been tricked.

He sneakily tried to send a message to Hera via his smartwatch. In the end, he realized that there was no signal. He reached for Dora's smartwatch to check and realized she had no signal as well.

"Relax, Dyl. Daddy would never harm us." Dora hadn't realized anything odd. The thought of returning home to be with Hera and Bernard made her very happy. Hence, she began to comfort Dylan.

He turned speechless. Wasn't Dora worried about Bernard gobbling them up earlier?

As he recalled that Dora was easily frightened, he decided not to remind her of anything for now. He wanted to see what would happen next.

Forty minutes later, the car entered the Killian residence before finally stopping at a courtyard called the Four Seasons.

A woman was waiting at the courtyard's main entrance. She appeared to be in her 60s and had neatly combed back her half-white hair. The crow's feet at the corners of her eyes made her seem rather kind and gentle.

The woman was Adeline Truman, who used to be Hera's nanny. After Lucius got into trouble, Adeline was tasked to handle the heavy labor for the Killians.

She was merely in her 50s and wasn't at the age of retirement. However, she appeared to be in her 60s due to toiling hard throughout these years, doing heavy labor.

"Oh, quickly come in. It's freezing outside, and we don't want you catching a cold." Adeline led Dora and Dylan into the house.

The house was enormous and decorated in a vintage style. Dora liked the design very much and ran around the house in excitement.

Meanwhile, Dylan showed no interest at all. He swept a glance across the room, but there was no sign of Hera. He asked, "Where's my mom?"

"Mr. and Mrs. Killian won't be back so soon," Adeline explained.

She then continued, "It's getting late, so you two must be hungry. I've prepared a children's set meal and some desserts for you two. Let's have dinner first. Afterward, I'll show you to your rooms. How does that sound?"

"Awesome!" Dora cheered before running toward the dining hall.

Dylan scowled. "Are we staying here tonight?"
