"This is your home from now on," Adeline said.

Dylan's brows knitted together tighter than ever. He checked his smartwatch and was relieved that there was finally a signal.

He then excused himself to the bathroom. Once inside, he gave Hera a call but realized that her phone was off.

Did something happen to Hera?

Dylan called Tiffany to inquire whether she had returned to the clinic and met Hera.

"I'm back. Isla and Sarah told me that Ms. Youngworth had errands to run with Mr. Killian, so she won't be back for now. Where are you and Dora? Are you two alright?" Tiffany asked.

"We're at the Killian residence. We're okay for now," Dylan answered.

Initially, Tiffany was very concerned for Dylan and Dora, so she hurried to the clinic. She only breathed a sigh of relief after learning about Bernard and Hera's love story from Isla and Sarah.

Since Bernard loved Hera so much, he would definitely be able to accept Dora and Dylan in his life. Otherwise, he wouldn't have dispatched his men to bring them back to the Killian residence.

"Oh, so you're at the Killian residence. Remember to get along with everyone there, and don't always play on your phone. Hang out with your family more. Bye."

Dylan looked at his smartwatch after the call disconnected. He felt as if Tiffany didn't find anything odd about the situation and wondered if he was overthinking everything.

Meanwhile, Hera slowly came to her senses and found herself lying on a large bed in a gray room. The environment was unfamiliar to her.

She sat up and realized that she was still wearing her clothes. While massaging her sore neck, she cursed Bernard for being so ruthless.

Before blacking out, Hera recalled Bernard's words. Since she had no idea what happened to Dylan and Dora, she immediately looked for her phone. However, she realized that it was gone.

She pulled the curtains apart and saw a snowy night sky. There was a light layer of snow sitting on the windowsill.

"Where's Bernard?"

Lola replied, "I don't know."

Hera refused to give up and entered a string of codes on the landline. Once certain that she could not make calls outside the house, she gave up and put the receiver back.

She checked the time and realized that it was 12:30 am. Although she had no idea what happened to Dylan and Dora, it was too dark to escape now.

She simply leaned against the couch and spoke to Lola, who was standing straight at the side, "I'm starving. Is there anything for me to eat?"

Lola turned to enter the kitchen. Hera noticed the two heavy-duty locks on the main door and understood why Lola wasn't concerned about her taking the opportunity to escape.

While Lola was fiddling around in the kitchen, Hera quickly went through every room on the first floor. She failed to locate any electronic products that would help her connect with the outside world.

Although she found a power distribution room in the basement, she was disappointed to learn that there was no internet access.
