Vanta threatened, "Have you thought it through? If you disagree with this, Future Tech and XS Corporation will never collaborate in the future. You won't ever get to see her again!"

The person Vanta meant was, of course, none other than Hera.

Vanta thought that Bernard would give in. He treasured Hera so much that he would probably fall for the trap.

Vanta stiffened briefly before responding, "Esther developed it! There's no way plagiarism was involved!"

"I have no idea either. But the media has reported that the main design framework for our robots is highly similar to XS Corporation's! We haven't mass-produced our robots, but XS Corporation has already registered a patent for it."

The person paused for breath. "Plagiarism is a big deal. It'll make the headlines soon. By then, our product sales will be affected. The Western market still hasn't heard of it yet, but the Eastern market has been affected. We'll lose our customers in the Eastern market."

He continued, "We need to sign the contract with XS Corporation as soon as possible to tell the public that the robot project is a collaboration and not us plagiarizing them."

"I got it." Vanta hung up and opened his browser to search for the news report regarding the incident.

After scanning the texts, he realized that XS Corporation registered the patent only recently although their design blueprint for the robot was made five years ago.

XS Corporation did not register the patent back then but chose to register it now. Bernard clearly did it on purpose!

Vanta found it odd. He had extended his stay in Jadonia before, and the application process was smooth back then. Why did his application get rejected this time?

It then occurred to him why it happened, and he said, "Bernard, you're despicable!"

Before Vanta could even explain himself, he was led out of the room, flanked by the officers.

After Theo saw Vanta and the officers off, he returned to the room and told Bernard, "Vanta's been blacklisted by the customs. He can't enter Jadonia in the future nor will he get the chance to pester Ms. Youngworth."

Chuckling, Bernard got up from his seat and left the room with Theo. Just then, Bernard's phone started ringing.

It was Lola. He answered the call.

"Mr. Killian, Ms. Youngworth escaped," she said.
