Johnson was the first to step out of the operating room. The lethargy on his face was evident when he took off his surgical mask. There was even stubble on his chin.

This operation was the most grueling and taxing of all the operations he'd undertaken.

Bernard darted forward and asked, "How is she?"

He had moved so quickly that he tore his wound, but he didn't seem to feel the pain at all.

"The operation was successful thanks to the pills. Ms. Youngworth hasn't fully recovered from the harm she received last time. The incident this time has caused her even more harm.

"Although the operation was a success, it's now all up to fate whether she can wake up in 72 hours or not," Johnson explained.

After a pause, he decided to break the bad news to Bernard. "But if she doesn't wake up in 72 hours, it'll be hard for her to wake up again. In other words, she'll fall into a coma."

"Last time?" Bernard muttered, confused.

Johnson didn't realize he had let slip so much. Seizing the chance, he decided to go with the flow.

He said, "Yes. If I'm not mistaken, it's that incident five years ago."

That time, when Hera suffered a relapse and went missing, no one knew who managed to keep her under control.

Bernard fell silent as he thought long and hard about it.

Five years ago… Why did people keep bringing up something that happened five years ago?

"You'll have to wait until Ms. Youngworth wakes up to learn more about that." Johnson glanced at his medical kit. There were still a few special pills left in it. "Oh right. She took just one pill. The rest are in this kit here."

"Let her take all of them!" Bernard roared. "I don't care what method it is that you have to use! I need you to make her wake up!"

Johnson felt his eye twitch at Bernard's outburst. He was flabbergasted at how indifferent and insensitive Bernard was about the price of things.

"These pills are good for injuries, but if a person continues to take them, their effects will decrease. It'll be kind of wasteful." Johnson felt the need to remind Bernard of that.

"Tell him to see me once he arrives."

"Okay. Do you want me to drive you back home since Ms. Youngworth is okay now? She wouldn't want to see you in this state when she wakes up."

"Get me a ward here. I'll get some rest right here."

"Um… Okay." Douglas was rather speechless at the request, but he left to do what he was told.

As he turned around, he heard Bernard say, "I want the ward next to Hera's."

And for the second time in less than a minute, Douglas was rendered speechless. The ward next to Hera's was an ICU ward too. Did Bernard not know that?

Felix's plane landed the next day. Wasting no time, he and Douglas headed to Silverleaf Hospital.

He started to worry when Douglas led him to the inpatient department.
