At the time, Elowen shot a smug glance at Amara, who was left confused. Wasn't Elowen stripped of her shares by Larry yesterday? Why was she so cheerful now?

It didn't take long for Amara to piece it together.

Elowen grabbed her phone, shoving it under Larry's nose with a mocking tone. "Dad, I’ve got to tell you something, but don't get mad, alright? It's just that my dear sister is getting a divorce and didn't even bother to tell us."

Amara felt a pit form in her stomach. Snapping up her head, she quickly looked at Elowen's phone.

Even from a distance, Amara recognized the photo of Liliana, and her hands, resting on her laps, clenched into fists.

"Dad, this actress, Liliana, she's his new wife. Amara's headed for a divorce, such a big deal, and she doesn't even inform us. So irresponsible."

Elowen's voice dripped with faux concern, but it was clear she was reveling in the chaos.

Larry looked up, his brows furrowed into a tight knot. "Is this true, Amara? Are you two really divorcing?"

Finnian's expression turned neutral, not denying the claim. Amara clenched her fists tighter. In some ways, Finnian was a responsible man. He had promised a future to Liliana and intended to keep it.

As for her, their marriage had always been more of a transaction—a business deal, only that she was a person instead of some goods. The Everly family had paid her what was due, and there was no obligation for Finnian to continue the charade. Naturally, he wouldn’t deny his relationship with Liliana.

Realizing this, Amara spoke up, "Dad, it's true. Finnian and I are getting a divorce, but we’re doing so amicably. There won’t be any scandal, so please, don’t be upset."
