The cup fell, smashing into pieces, and the milk splashed everywhere.

Brianna was alarmed. "William, what—"

Joyce exhaled in relief while Tiffany frowned. She had just been proven correct.

She stared at William with a look of shock and disbelief.

Was he poisoning Brianna?

Out of the blue, Brianna started clutching her abdomen as she slowly hunched over, falling to the ground.

"What's the matter, Brianna?" Joyce exclaimed.

"M-Mom, m-my stomach hurts… It hurts so much…"

Blood began to pool at her feet.

"Oh, my goodness!" Joyce cried out. "She's bleeding! Quick, drive her to the hospital, William! Hurry up!"

However, William was unusually calm. After glancing at the blood, he said to Brianna, "You don't need to go to the hospital."

"What are you saying? How can she not go to the hospital when she's already bleeding?" Joyce said in a panic. Brianna had already fainted.

William picked Brianna up from the ground and walked into the house.

Soon, the Lewises' family doctor rushed over.

Tiffany and Joyce stood outside the room. They could hear Brianna's desperate screams.

"It hurts! It hurts so much!"

"Help! Save me, William!"

"My baby! My baby!"

Hearing those cries, Tiffany instinctively stroked her belly. She couldn't imagine how much pain and despair Brianna felt right now.

"They haven't made up yet?" Tiffany asked.

Joyce shook her head. "I had the staff prepare a special dinner for them. I even cleared the house to make sure they could have some alone time to sort things out. I wanted them to resolve the misunderstandings between them.

"Who would've thought that soon after we left, Brianna took a knife and stabbed William in the neck! It was a deep wound.

"Blood got all over the table. The doctor said that she had nearly stabbed him in his carotid artery. If that happened, he would've died on the spot."

Joyce turned pale as she regaled this incident to Tiffany. She even squeezed her fingers in agitation.

After hearing what happened, Tiffany frowned. She could imagine how horrifying that situation must have been. Never would she have thought that something like this would happen.

She had known Brianna for quite some time, so she knew that Brianna was no saint. She wasn't a nice person, and it wasn't surprising that she would stoop to underhanded trickery. But would she stab William in the neck with a knife?

Tiffany didn't think Brianna was capable of doing something like that.

"Where's Brianna now?" Tiffany asked.
