Helen decided to stay silent and not dwell on it.

Since it was Esmond's wish, she chose not to question it further. After a two-hour flight, their plane landed at Nordstadt's airport.

Helen and Chandler disembarked together, with someone already waiting for them at the arrival gate.

"Mr. Newton!" The driver greeted Chandler respectfully as he took his luggage.

"Let's get in the car," Chandler suggested.

Helen obliged and got into the vehicle.

As they drove off, Helen inquired, "Where are we headed?"

Busy with work on his iPad, Chandler replied, "First, I'll take you to familiarize yourself with the examination venue. Then we'll head to our Nordstadt's house."

"You have a house in Nordstadt too?" Helen asked.

Chandler explained, "You'll stay there tonight. I checked, and it's the closest location to your examination venue, just a five-minute drive away. It's not too far."

Helen nodded, "Okay, got it."

After visiting the examination venue, printing her admission ticket, and familiarizing herself with the environment, Helen followed Chandler to the house.

It was a standalone villa. Although it paled in comparison to the Newton family's ancestral home, its value in an expensive city like Nordstadt was considerable.

"The place has been cleaned. You'll stay in the bedroom on the left upstairs, and I'll take the one on the right. The study is in the middle, where I'll work. If you need anything, just let me know," Chandler informed her.

Helen nodded in understanding. "Got it."

Then, she retreated.

Helen gestured an "Okay" sign and closed the door behind her.

As her footsteps faded away, Chandler found himself unable to concentrate while he was busy working. After a while, he got up and left the villa as well.

Helen stepped out and hailed a cab. As she watched the familiar scenery pass by, a slight smile appeared on her lips. She stopped the cab at a public restroom halfway and went inside.

The unattractive makeup was gone when she emerged, replaced by a fresh face. Helen took another cab, this time heading to an old alleyway with a dated history.

She walked through the alley to the end and stopped in front of a quadrangle dwelling. After entering the passcode, the door opened, and she stepped inside.

"Paul, long time no see."

A young man lounged in a rocking chair, soaking up the sun in the courtyard.

Startled by the sudden female voice, he jumped. But as he regained his composure, his eyes lit up. "Helen, is that you?"
