Out of options, Helen took out her phone and called a cab back to the apartment.

It took a lot of effort for Helen to get Chandler inside the apartment. She leaned against the wall, exhausted. Chandler suddenly fell toward her as she reached for the light switch.

Helen tried to catch him, but they both tumbled to the ground.

She winced in pain and then felt a warm sensation as his lips pressed against hers. In disbelief, she widened her eyes at the close-up view of Chandler's face, and his unique masculine scent enveloped her.

Panicked, she pushed him away. "Chandler, what are you doing!"

But Chandler, thoroughly intoxicated, lay motionless after being pushed aside.

Helen hastily wiped her lips and scrambled up from the floor. She did not spare a glance at Chandler on the ground.

"M-my first kiss, gone just like that..." Helen lamented, wishing she could scrub her lips clean.

Despite her efforts to calm down, the memory of the incident kept replaying in her mind. It was driving her to the brink. "Damn it, what a mess!"

The corners of Chandler's mouth curled into a subtle smile after seeing her animated frustration. He felt that she was almost invisible unless looked at closely. "I don't remember much from last night. I didn't do anything inappropriate, did I?"

Helen wanted to retort but eventually didn't. She coldly responded, "No."

Chandler felt relieved at her answer. When he woke up just now, he had vague memories and feared he might have acted out of line.

It was strange. He usually handled his liquor well but was unusually affected last night. He concluded that he should probably drink less in the future.
