Zac had already been waiting at the school gate for Helen after school in the afternoon. As soon as Helen appeared, Zac got out of the car and walked towards her. "Give me your bag," he said.

Helen handed it over without hesitation. Zac took it and opened the car door for her.

Once inside, he started the car and drove away.

"How was school today?" Zac initiated the conversation.

Helen replied, "It was fine, all good."

Zac glanced at her through the rearview mirror but remained silent. When they got home, Zac parked the car in the underground garage.

Helen got out of the car, and they both entered the elevator together. Suddenly, the lights in the elevator flickered and then plunged into darkness.

Helen panicked. "What's happening?" she spoke while patting the elevator door.

Zac quickly tried to reassure her. "It might be an elevator malfunction. I'll call our housekeeper right away."

Zac took out his phone as he said this, only to find no signal. Unbeknownst to him, Helen was in full panic mode. She was sweating profusely and trembling uncontrollably. Zac had no idea what was happening and kept banging on the elevator door.

The next second, Helen was gasping for air. She collapsed onto the floor. Zac asked anxiously, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

The sound of Helen's chattering teeth was the only response Zac got. He sensed something was off. "You don't have claustrophobia, do you?"

Helen could barely hear him. She was breathing heavily, and her consciousness was fading.

Zac realized the seriousness of the situation. He continued to bang on the door and shouted for help.

Soon, the housekeepers rushed over, but they were helpless against the malfunctioning elevator and had to call for repairmen.

Chandler carried Helen back to the bedroom and laid her down. He continuously called her name with no response. Helen's hand kept twitching.

Chandler held her hand without saying another word until the doctor arrived, and he had to let go.

"Quick, see what's wrong with her," he urged the doctor.

The doctor hurried forward to examine Helen. Chandler had to leave the bedroom. As he stepped out, he ran into Zac.

Chandler's eyes darkened as he asked sternly, "What did you do to her?"

Zac remained silent.

Chandler didn't show any mercy. "I warned you, stop targeting her. Otherwise, I'll make sure you have no place in this family."
