Helen ran out of the restaurant and hailed a taxi by the roadside. Only after getting in did she breathe a sigh of relief. "My goodness, that was terrifying. What just happened?" she mumbled, puzzled by Zac's sudden confession.

She instinctively took out her phone to look at her reflection. Her face, in her eyes, was the epitome of ugliness. Normally, men would steer clear of her. She wondered why anyone would express affection towards her.

Moreover, one can usually sense whether someone harbors feelings for them. Despite Zac's declarations, Helen felt no such affection from him. Coupled with her lack of romantic interest in Zac, she had decisively left.

The taxi smoothly arrived at the Newton residence. After paying the fare, Helen stepped out of the car. As she entered the yard, she bumped into Chandler, who had just returned home.

Seeing her preoccupied look, Chandler asked, "What happened to you? You look like you've lost your soul."

Helen looked up and shook her head. "It's nothing."

Chandler seemed skeptical but didn't pry further. They entered the house, each retreating to their respective rooms.

Helen locked her door and let out a deep sigh. Despite refusing Zac earlier, the thought of living in the same house and facing him regularly was excruciatingly awkward.

Feeling somewhat helpless, Helen had just sat down when she received a message from Chandler.

"Ms. Mayhew, are you there?"

Helen pondered as she saw the message. Chandler usually returned late due to work commitments but was home early today. She wondered if it was for the Alirian lesson.

This thought brought a slight smile to her face. "I'm here. Let's start in five minutes," she replied.

After sending the message, Helen quickly took out an Alirian textbook she had prepared earlier. She was ready to start the lesson with Chandler. Beginning with basic vocabulary, Helen taught diligently, explaining every detail thoroughly. On the other side, Chandler listened intently, taking notes on almost every word.

An hour flew by quickly. Helen stretched as she couldn't help but think that being a teacher was indeed challenging.

Zac pressed her for an answer. "Just tell me, yes or no."

As Helen was about to respond, she caught a glimpse of a figure from the corner of her eye. Chandler was standing at the turn, having appeared there at some point. Upon noticing Chandler, Zac's demeanor changed.

Relieved, Helen walked away. Once she was gone, only Zac and Chandler remained. Chandler casually filled a glass with water and drank it before saying leisurely, "It seems you've taken a liking to that girl."

Zac responded calmly, "Chandler, are you starting to take an interest in my affairs?"

Chandler glanced back at him. "It's not about caring for you. Just a reminder not to mess with her. She's not someone you can provoke."

Zac chuckled lightly. "Who she belong to, isn't for you to decide. It's still uncertain who will win her over."

Chandler's eyes narrowed slightly. "It seems you're determined to have her."
