Chandler replied, "Grandpa hasn't been doing well the past two years. He couldn't handle long flights, so he specifically asked me to visit you on his behalf."

"Oh, that old guy! He better take good care of himself. Even if he doesn't come to see me, as long as he remembers me, that's enough," said Douglas.

Douglas gestured Chandler into the living room while the two of them conversed pleasantly. His gaze toward Chandler softened even more. Douglas thought that Chandler was quite impressive.

"Chandler, since you're here, why don't you stay for dinner tonight? You can leave tomorrow," he offered.

Chandler couldn't refuse Douglas' hospitality and had to agree. "Sure. I'll stay for dinner then."

Douglas was delighted. "Isn't Hailey back too? This is a wonderful opportunity."

Chandler didn't have any reactions upon hearing about Hailey. It was then that Douglas patted his shoulder and said, "I'll introduce a new friend to you tonight. She's the owner of this estate."

As Douglas spoke, he asked the staff, "Where did Miss Hailey go?"

The staff replied honestly, "Ms. Hailey said the lavender is blooming nicely this year, so she took Sunny to fly kites in the lavender field."

Douglas chuckled. "Hailey is getting more playful as she grows older."

From Douglas' tone, Chandler couldn't help but detect his fondness for Hailey. He became more curious about her.

Soon, it was dinner time, and the staff knocked on the door several times. "Ms.Helen, it's time to go down for dinner."

Mary explained, "He's Mr.Peter's guest, and he came from afar. So naturally, he'll stay for a couple of days. Why? Do you know him, Miss Hailey?"

Helen instinctively shook her head, denying, "No, I don't know him."

When Helen appeared in the dining room, she immediately noticed Chandler.

Their eyes met, but Helen didn't look away. Instead, she gave him a slight smile as a greeting of sorts.
