Helen playfully stuck out her tongue. "Mr. Peter, I missed you guys so much. That's why I came back."
Douglas laughed heartily. "This little girl, your words are as sweet as honey. Come here. Let me introduce Chandler Newton, the grandson of my friend."
He then introduced Helen to Chandler, "This is my niece, Hailey Spencer."
Helen took the initiative to extend her hand to Chandler. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Chandler."
Chandler shook her hand. When their hands touched, that familiar sensation Chandler felt became even more pronounced.
He looked at Hailey before him. He couldn't help but associate her with Helen. This wasn't the first time he had this feeling.
But he also knew that the person in front of him wasn't Helen, nor could she be.
"Hi, Ms. Hailey. Nice to meet you too." he greeted with his deep, husky voice. Helen smiled and took her seat.
After a meal of torment for Helen, she finally finished eating. She planned to take Sunny out for a walk to aid digestion.
However, Douglas stopped her. "Hailey, I heard there will be fireworks in the estate tonight. Why don't you take Chandler to have a look? You young people can have something in common together."
Helen instinctively refused, "Mr. Peter, I'm taking Sunny for a walk. It might be inconvenient to bring Mr. Chandler along."
However, Douglas remained unmoved and said, "It's perfect. You can take Chandler for a walk too. I'm getting old and not feeling well. I need to rest early. Besides, young people being together is better than being with an old man like me."
Before Helen could say anything else, she met Chandler's gaze. Chandler stared at her and asked, "Does Ms. Hailey not want to take me for a walk?"
Helen was left with no room for refusal. Holding Sunny with one hand, Helen led Chandler out of the castle.
Upon hearing this, Helen felt her heart pound incessantly. She suppressed her inner emotions and pretended to be calm.
"If it weren't for you, I would have thought those were just lines you learned to chat up girls," she joked.
Chandler was surprised to hear this. He turned to look at Helen, feeling somewhat incredulous.
Today was their first meeting, but he felt as if they had known each other for a long time.
"Ms. Hailey is very beautiful. This is something she can't compare to you," Chandler said honestly.
As Chandler said this, Helen's face flashed in his mind. He didn't find Helen unattractive, at most, she was just a bit plain.
After a pause, he continued, "It's also quite a coincidence that you both have the same last name 'Spencer.' If there's a chance in the future. I'll introduce you two."
