"Your voice…" Devin pointed at Taylor's throat, as if he had discovered a new world.
Only then did Taylor realize he had forgotten to disguise his voice. He quickly faked a cough and weakly explained, "Sorry, I've had a cold these past few days, so my voice is a bit hoarse. Did I scare you?"
Men's intelligence immediately plummeted in the presence of beautiful women. Devin easily believed it and even shyly scratched the back of his head. "No, you're so beautiful. How could you be scary?"
Taylor instinctively frowned. Could this guy be possibly interested in him? No way, Taylor was a straight man.
At the thought of this, he quickly declined Devin's kind offer. "There's no need. Just tell me how to get there, and I'll go on my own. I can also familiarize myself with the area."
"Just let me take you there," Devin insisted, helping Taylor up.
As they walked, he said, "Ms. Fitzgerald will go to the backyard to see Clover tomorrow. If you get treated sooner, you can train Clover sooner. If Ms. Fitzgerald isn't satisfied, you'll also have to leave. That won't be worth the injury, would it?"
"Does Ms. Fitzgerald like Clover very much?" Taylor couldn't help asking about Abigail.
"I suppose, but Clover eventually will be treated as a wedding gift and go to the groom's house with Ms. Fitzgerald. Thus, Clover needs to be properly trained beforehand to avoid causing harm," Devin answered.
"A wedding gift?" Taylor stopped walking. "Who's getting married?"
"Of course, it's Ms. Fitzgerald." Devin looked at Taylor with amusement. "Didn't you notice that the whole villa is being renovated? It's all in preparation for her wedding."
He added, "She's Mr. Fitzgerald's only daughter, so he wants to make it a grand event."
At the Miravell Airport, the sweet voice of a woman echoed over the loudspeakers, announcing the start of a new journey. "Welcome to the beautiful Miravell, and we wish you a pleasant trip."
Helen and the others marched out of the airport gate, where a fleet of cabs had been waiting for some time.
"The hotel address has been sent to your phones. We'll meet up there. Don't get lost." After reminding them, Helen and Chandler left first with the children.
Although both couples—Adrian and Ursula, as well as Jenson and Germaine—had come for their romantic getaway, they didn't wish to have their plans overlapped, so they set off separately.
After Adrian and Ursula left, Jenson and Germaine hopped into a newer cab. A little while into the ride, Jenson enthusiastically chatted with the driver. "Buddy, we're here for our vacation. Can you recommend some good spots for couples?"
"Miravell is full of surprises; you'll discover them in a while," the driver replied.
