Taylor calmed down after confirming that the loser of the bet just had to treat the other to a good meal. "Sure, why not? A meal it is. So, you're betting on Max, right, Helen?"

"That's right!" Helen said confidently.

"And I'm betting on Zoli! And remember, no takebacks!" Taylor said.

The two of them returned their focus to the competition after agreeing on the terms of their bet.

Suddenly, Helen felt someone patting her on the shoulder, to which she turned around and met Chandler's eyes. She was so surprised that she almost jumped out of her seat. "Mr. Chandler! Why are you here?"

Chandler looked at Helen and then at Taylor, which caused him to be startled.

Chandler turned back to Helen and replied, "What a coincidence, Hailey!"

He then turned to Taylor and asked, "You're here for the championship as well, Mr. Taylor?"

Taylor was racing through his thoughts to come up with an excuse that would not expose Helen's identity. He tried to maintain some distance away from Helen as he explained, "Yeah, I just so happened to be in Furine for business, so I thought I'd come and watch the championship as well."

Chandler had already seen the two of them being close friends just moments ago, and now they were pretending to be mere acquaintances. He couldn't help but be suspicious.

Chandler suddenly recalled the scene of Helen and Taylor together in the Newton Residence. He didn't understand why he would suddenly connect the two similarly overlapping scenes.

"Hailey, do you know each other?" asked Chandler.

Helen felt a chill on her back, and she calmly explained, "Mr. Taylor here just happened to have a seat right next to mine. We were both surprised to be seated next to our own kind, so we quickly became friends. So I guess we do know each other right now."

Helen continued to stare at the track as she replied, "Shut it, just watch the race for now. And remember, the loser of the bet is going to foot the bill for a meal."

Taylor fell silent and went back to enjoying the competition.

Chandler had already disappeared by the time the races were finished. Helen tried to look around for him and eventually gave up, thinking that Chandler had already left.

Taylor was upset. "Can't believe Zoli was hyped up so much to be the champion, but it turns out he's not good enough after all. He got third place in the preliminaries… I guess it's over for him."

He turned to Helen and continued, "What kind of instinct do you have to be able to tell from one look at Max is going to win this, Helen? His skill is the best among all of his competitors. He might just be the champion later on."

Taylor was left in a bad mood as he realized that he had to keep his promise on the bet and treat Helen to a meal. He couldn't understand why he would always lose when betting with Helen.
