Jenson was momentarily stunned, and before he could react to Germaine's change of expression, his phone rang.

He lifted the blanket and got out of bed, grabbing the phone from the clothes he had picked up from the floor. After glancing at the caller ID, he answered it and put the phone to his ear.

A moment later, he said into the phone, "Got it, I'll be there soon."

Then, he started to get dressed. "I'm going out for a bit."

"You're still going out at this hour?" Germaine sat up from the bed.

"Oh, right. There's an urgent matter that I need to take care of." Jenson tried to appear as calm as possible.

"Go ahead, but come back early." Germaine didn't make a fuss as she quietly watched him get dressed and leave. When she heard the door closing outside, she quickly got out of bed, threw on some clothes, and rushed out after him.

The entrance to the famous hotel in Miravell was brightly lit, and the parking lot was packed with numerous luxury cars. Couple after couple embraced each other and walked into the hotel, ready to enjoy a thrilling and passionate night ahead.

This night was bound to be anything but peaceful.

Several minutes later, a striking bright yellow sports car stopped in front of the hotel. Alice, reeking of alcohol, got down from the car and wobbled up the stairs, ready to join the group of indulgent people.

However, she had just staggered up two flights when someone suddenly rushed up from behind, covered her mouth, and dragged her backward. She instantly sobered up and desperately flailed her limbs, trying to break free.

This was the largest hotel in Miravell, and the security was tight. Each guard was nearly six feet six inches tall, with muscles that were even more impressive than those of bodybuilding champions.

Alice was about to run away, but then she thought about how Ricardo, who wasn't related to her, was risking his life to save her. Feeling that she shouldn't be so selfish, she could only watch anxiously from the side.

Ricardo, a bookish man, was of course no match for Jenson. Before long, Ricardo was overpowered and knocked to the ground by Jenson, lying there completely still.

Jenson got up again, adjusted his cap, and turned to face Alice with a murderous look. In a flash, he sprinted in her direction.

Frightened by his fierce appearance, Alice lost her balance and fell to the ground.

Jenson stood before her, holding a knife. "We could have lived in peace, but you kept pushing me. Don't worry, I'll die with you."

With that, he tightened his grip on the knife and stabbed it toward Alice's chest resolutely.
