Once Stanson entered, he walked over to one of the guests and patted him twice on the shoulder.

The guest frowned, but Stanson ignored him, picked up the guest's wine glass, and downed it in one gulp. He then put down the glass and roughly wiped the wine stain off his beard, his movements barbaric and rude.

The atmosphere in the private room instantly became awkward. No one welcomed him.

He was not oblivious to it; he just didn't care. His gaze was filled with disdain and mockery. A group of Cathayans posed no threat to him.

He glanced around the room and finally fixed his gaze on Chandler. "This must be the owner of Destiny Corporation in Grand Cathay, Mr. Chandler Newton.

"You're indeed handsome and charming, with an extraordinary demeanor. I admire you; how about we become friends?"

Since Chandler didn't invite Stanson, it was obvious that he had no intention of associating with the Holland family. Stanson took the initiative to approach Chandler just to see if Chandler would show him respect or not.

It was better to have one more friend than one more enemy. Chandler didn't want to cause trouble, so he raised his glass and toasted Stanson from a distance.

"I originally planned to visit you privately later, but since you're here now, it must be fate. Please take care of me in the future, Mr. Holland. I propose this toast for you."

The unchanging rule of socializing was that the one who drank more tended to be more humble.

In his younger days, Chandler wouldn't have bothered with such a rogue. But now he had a family, and he had to consider the consequences of his every action. He must learn to be more tactful.

However, just as the wine glass touched Chandler's lips, Stanson spoke again. "How convenient. There happens to be a chance now where I can take care of you.

"I have a batch of premium 'flour.' I heard that Destiny Corporation has branches all over Grand Cathay. In my opinion, they're perfect for the distribution of the goods."

Chandler remained unfazed. "Mr. Holland, you're overthinking it. I just want to be an honest businessman and live longer."

"What if I insist on working with you?" Stanson asked with a grave tone, filled with menace.

"Let's not force things." Chandler dropped his smile, instantly adopting a commanding demeanor.

Both parties stared at each other across the room, and the atmosphere instantly became tense.

Seth, who had been silent on the side, could no longer sit still. "Stanson, everyone here knows exactly what kind of 'flour' you're selling. We don't bother you, so you shouldn't cause us trouble as well. Let's stay in our own lanes and not cross boundaries."

Even though this was Morg, they were significant taxpayers under the federal government's protection. If Stanson dared to mess with them, the police wouldn't let his "business" run smoothly either.
