Halfway through chasing Abigail, Taylor rushed back in a panic to finalize his arrangement with Kingsley.

"Sorry, Mr. Godfrey. Abigail usually acts differently than this. We'll contact you later. Here's my business card. Please make sure to reach out!"

After watching Kingsley take the card, he immediately turned to chase Abigail. He ran to the side of the road before finally catching up with her.

"Honey, what's going on?" Taylor grabbed her arm.

"It's nothing." Abigail snapped, not looking at him. "That Kingsley is no good. Don't get too close to him."

"How can you say that? His medical skills are renowned in the field, and his ethics have never been criticized. I heard he even went to Apreeka and treated people there for free. I think there's some misunderstanding here." He defended Kingsley enthusiastically.

Kingsley's medical skills were at the pinnacle of the industry, and he could easily have made a fortune off his talents. Instead, he had spent years treating the poor and helping countless families.

A person's true worth wasn't measured by how high they could rise but by how far they are willing to lower themselves to help others.

Possessing unparalleled skills yet harboring a heart for the greater good—this was precisely what Taylor admired most about Kingsley.

"So you think I'm slandering him?" Abigail became even more irritated.

"No, no. Of course, I'm on your side. Tell me what happened, and I'll stand up for you!" Taylor quickly reassured her.

"He—" She hesitated, unable to say that the scoundrel had flirted with her. She waved her hand and turned her face away. "Anyway, he's a scoundrel!"

"Okay. Once he cures Lucy, I'll break one of his legs to get back at him for you!" he declared seriously.

She couldn't help but laugh. "He hasn't even helped you yet, and you're already considering turning against him?"

"He deserves it for messing with my wife. No matter how big the favor, there's no room for sentiment," he said with a confident grin as he saw her smile.

"Who's your wife? We haven't even gotten married yet!" Abigail teased proudly.

Germaine stepped out of the office building and saw Bryan standing by his sports car, holding an exaggeratedly large bouquet of roses.

She walked over, and he immediately came to meet her. "These are for you. Today is Valentine's Day. Will you have dinner with me?"

She frowned. "I've already made myself clear the last time. Why are you still bothering me?"

"The situation's different now." He had learned from Freya about Jenson's infidelity. "Gem, give me another chance. I'm more reliable than Jenson. I won't betray you."

"How can you have the nerve to say that? The first person who betrayed me was you. Have you forgotten?" She never forgot how he had been an ambitious opportunist who cared only for his interests.

Just as she finished speaking, she saw Jenson's car slowly approaching the corner from across the street.
