Germaine immediately changed her attitude, taking the flowers from Bryan with a smile and pretending to sniff them. "They smell nice."

Surprised, Bryan responded, "I'm glad you like them."

He opened the car door for her. "Please, Germaine."

She hesitated for a moment, glancing at Jenson's car. She thought he would rush over to stop her, but the car remained stationary. She could even see his silhouette inside, yet he acted as though he couldn't see her accepting someone else's pursuit.

In frustration, she entered Bryan's car, holding the flowers tightly.

After closing the door, Bryan walked around the car, and when he saw Jenson's vehicle, he instantly understood the situation. He smugly stared at Jenson's car for a few seconds before getting in and driving away.

Jenson watched them leave, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. In a fit of anger, he drove to the nearest bar street and spent the whole night drinking.

After finishing another bottle, he pounded the bar, frustrated. "Where's the drink? Why is it taking so long?"

Just as he finished speaking, a glass of whiskey was placed before him. Without hesitation, he grabbed the drink and took a gulp.

The one who handed him the drink was Colin. He patted Jenson on the shoulder, sat beside him, and ordered another drink for himself.

"What's going on, sir? You've been drinking all night. Something on your mind?" Colin asked, playing the role of a sympathetic listener.

Sometimes, it was easier to confide in a stranger than in someone close to one when the pressure built up.

Jenson told him about his "affair" with Alice. "I was wrong from the start. I'm in no place to see her now. She's probably thinking about getting back with her first love."

He wasn't really trying to be caring; he just saw Jenson as a useful pawn because he was Chandler's younger brother and had business dealings with Destiny Corporation.

Finishing his drink, he quietly slipped away as if he had never been there.
