"Gosh, why are you driving like that? Did we pay you to treat us like this?" Salome snapped, her forehead throbbing in pain after hitting it earlier.

"Alright, it was just an accident. Nobody wanted this to happen." Realizing that she was blowing things out of proportion, Lucy quickly shifted the topic and turned toward the driver. "Let's get out and see what's going on."

As she began unbuckling her seatbelt, the driver hurriedly got out to open her door. Salome rolled her eyes but begrudgingly followed suit.

A woman was lying unconscious in front of their car. Her clothes were torn in several places, as if she had been dragged across the ground. But she looked oddly familiar.

"Miss, are you alright? Should I call an ambulance?"

Lucy bent down and called her gently, but the woman didn't respond. Crouching down, she turned the woman over and finally recognized her.

"Abigail?"

Lucy was taken aback. Judging by Abigail's injuries, she had been through something hellish. What on earth had happened to her?

"It's that bitch!" Salome shrieked, also recognizing Abigail. "What a coincidence—running into her even in such a remote place. Is she unconscious? Serves her right! Lucy, let's go! Ignore her."

Having no intention to help, Salome prepared to leave.

Meanwhile, Kingsley had been on his way back from the stadium. Seeing this, he leaped onto the largest tree nearby and observed the situation below in silence.

"No way! She's seriously injured," Lucy argued. "If we leave her here, her wounds will definitely get infected."

It wasn't in her nature to ignore someone in need. Leaning down to help Abigail, she called out to the driver, "Come help!"

"Alright!" The driver quickly hurried toward her.

"I don't even know you. Why should I let you take her?" Lucy asked, turning wary.

Kingsley withdrew his hand and shoved it into his pocket. "Suit yourself. But your friend might have to suffer a little if you refuse to comply."

He grinned, his gaze landing on Salome.

"What are you planning to do?"

A sense of foreboding suddenly struck Salome. In the next instant, her neck began to itch unbearably. She instinctively scratched it, but the more she did, the worse it got. She felt as if she wanted to claw her skin off.

"What did you do to me?" Salome screamed. "Lucy, help me! I'm so itchy! I can't take it anymore!"
