Sensing the rising tension, Helen quickly intervened. "Captain Whitmore, the people of Grand Cathay are truly fortunate to have someone like you in law enforcement."

"You're too kind, Mrs. Newton," Larry said with a modest smile.

Chandler, however, remained stoic, a faint smile still playing at the corners of his lips. "Knowing it's a lost cause, why should I waste my efforts?

"Captain Whitmore, you get the credit and climb the ranks, while Destiny Corporation handles the criminals and the arrests. Everyone does their part, and our roles don't overlap."

Chandler had briefly considered this option, but he knew Larry's principles were unyielding. Recognizing the futility of the idea, he dismissed it without hesitation.

"Fair enough." Larry nodded in agreement, then stood up to leave. "In that case, Mr. Newton, I would appreciate it if you could assign a few men to accompany me while escorting Zac to the local precinct. I want to ensure everything goes smoothly along the way."

"This arrest operation is urgent and cannot be delayed. Mr. Newton, I hope you will give this matter the attention it deserves. On behalf of the people of Grand Cathay, I thank you in advance."

After showing his deference, Larry turned and headed toward the door. His silhouette was tall and imposing, exuding an air of respect.

"Poor you, what a tragedy," Helen teased, playfully wrinkling her nose.

Chandler looked at her with a faint smile before smoothly changing the subject. "The Fitzgerald family's issue is almost resolved. It's time we start preparing to head back. You should stay home for the next few days and decide what you want to bring with you."
