Chapter 208 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities

Helen wandered around the banquet hall for a while. Finding it somewhat boring, she decided to sit down on a couch. Soon, Chandler came over and sat next to her. "This banquet might end late. If you feel tired, you can rest in the cabin," he suggested.

Helen nodded in acknowledgment. "I understand. I'll head there later."

Noticing that Helen hadn't eaten much, Chandler got up and brought back some pastries. "Have some to tide you over. Don't starve yourself."

Helen looked up at him and expressed her gratitude. "Thank you."

"Chandler, long time no see!" At that moment, a business partner approached and greeted Chandler warmly.

Chandler gave Helen a look, signaling he'd be back shortly. Helen nodded and assured him she was fine.

"Chandler, we're counting on Newton's continued support. This drink is to you." The partner handed Chandler a flute glass from a waiter. Chandler sipped politely while the partner downed his in one go, showing enthusiasm.

"Chandler, we're looking forward to future collaborations," the partner said.

Chandler nodded slightly. Meanwhile, more corporate leaders arrived. Though Chandler didn't drink much, his glass was often emptied out.

As she watched Chandler from the crowd, Queenie smirked triumphantly. She then whispered to Margaret, "This drug is potent. Enjoy your night."

Margaret's face lit up with joy. "As long as I can have Chandler, I'm willing to use any means."

Queenie was aware of Margaret's intentions, but she still cautioned quietly, "Margaret, Chandler is no ordinary man. Even if something happens between both of you, he might not be able to marry you. Be mentally prepared."

"Don’t worry, the authorities won't suspect that we’re involved in this. Even if they do, so what? We were behind the scenes the whole time and never actually did anything. No matter how powerful Chandler is, he won't be able to do anything to us without any evidence," Queenie assured.

Reassured by Queenie's words, Nancy's worries began to fade.

"What about Helen? What plans do you have for her?" Nancy asked

Queenie's eyes darkened. "Don't worry. I've arranged a 'pleasant' companion for her tonight. Her room is next to Margaret's. Who knows, they might even hear each other's 'interactions.'"

The two shared a laugh with their eyes full of scheming triumph.

Having eaten some pastries, Helen saw a waiter approaching with a tray full of colorful cocktails. "These are new cocktails by our bartender. You might want to try them."
