Helen paid no mind but instead supported Chandler. She asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

Chandler grunted in acknowledgment, "I'm fine."

Helen frowned deeply. She set her mind on getting off the ship quickly to take Chandler to the hospital for his leg.

The two made their way through the hall, intending to disembark. Yet, as soon as they reached the hall, they heard a commotion from the crowd. Margaret slapped Queenie across the face in front of everyone.

"Bitch, was this your doing?" Margaret seethed with fury.

Her eyes were bloodshot as she looked at Queenie as if she were an archenemy.

Queenie covered her face but remained silent. She felt her heart sink bit by bit.

Seeing her reaction, Margaret raised her hand and slapped Queenie again. The sound of the slap drew everyone's attention.

Nancy hurriedly intervened. "Margaret, what are you doing? This has nothing to do with Queenie!"

Margaret was beyond reasoning and glared at her, "If it wasn't her, then it must have been you!"

With that, Margaret slapped Nancy, causing her to cry out in pain and cover her face—any thoughts of explaining herself wholly disappeared.

"Even if you kill me, Margaret, it won't change what happened!" Nancy exclaimed unapologetically without fear.

Nancy smirked slightly. "Margaret, you asked for my help. Not only are you ungrateful, but you have also shifted the blame to me. You, a distinguished daughter of the Leonard family, have stooped so low to resort to such dirty tricks.

"You were so desperate to have Chandler that you resorted to despicable means to force him into marrying you. But things went awry, and your plans fell through. Now you're venting your frustration on Queenie and me."

Queenie looked disdainful. She hadn't expected Margaret to be so violent and to lash out at them directly.

She had no reservations now as she remarked, "You provided the drug, and you instructed us to administer it. Why the target changed is beyond us..."

Her words made everyone gasp. They thought it was truly a high-society conspiracy melodrama.
