Jenson acknowledged him with a hum, and the two brothers headed to the dining room for breakfast.
Halfway through the meal, Helen came down looking tired. She pulled out a chair and grumbled at Jenson, "Don't wake me up early in the morning again."
Jenson responded with an understanding nod. "Got it, Helen."
Then, he passed her a glass of milk as if trying to please her. "Helen, drink some milk. It's a good source of protein."
Helen took it and sipped. "Not bad."
Chandler observed their interaction silently with an unchanged expression. Setting down his utensils, he turned to Helen. "I was busy yesterday. I'll take you to school today."
Before he could finish, Jenson quickly intervened. "No need, Chandler. I can go with Helen. You have a lot at work. We'll manage ourselves."
Helen agreed. "Yeah, we'll go together."
Chandler glanced at them. He refrained from speaking about something he wanted to say and instead said, "Then I'll be off first."
He stood up and headed for the door. A housekeeper promptly handed him his briefcase, which Chandler took without hesitation and strode out.
Though Chandler left the house first, he didn't depart immediately. Instead, he waited in the car, watching Jenson and Helen leave together, laughing and talking. Only then did he start the car and drive away.
In the car, Helen suggested, "We have a study period last in the afternoon. Let's go to the library early."
He went to his room, turned on his computer, and logged in, sending a message to Helen.
Helen was already waiting online. She quickly typed a response upon seeing his message.
After receiving her reply, Chandler got up, removed his jacket, and headed for the shower. The sound of water echoed from the bathroom. When he returned from drying his hair, he sat at the computer and resumed the Alirian language lesson with Helen.
An hour flew by quickly as they were immersed in their lesson.
After the lesson, Chandler checked his messages and said, "I heard there's a new shipment of good stuff in Aguilisco. Are you interested?"
