Helen nodded and said, "I think I left something at your place last time, Paul. I came to pick it up here today."

He sat down and said, "I'll give it back to you later. Let's drink first."

With that, Paul clinked a bottle of beer with her glass. He said, "I heard Benjamin went to Aguilisco to find you. How have you been?"

She shrugged. "Nothing special, just the usual."

He smiled and said, "Benjamin is impatient and impulsive. He doesn't beat around the bush and goes for the throat. I'm sure you clashed with him a few times."

"Your bar seems to be doing worse than before," she immediately said, changing the subject.

Paul looked up at her and said, "Were you responsible for what happened with Mariah?"

His tone was casual. Helen hummed in response and didn't deny it.

He nodded. "H, I know she was wrong back then, but why would Benjamin protect her in that situation?"

This was what Helen was confused about. However, when Paul asked, memories of the past seemed to flash through her mind. Some things became clearer.

Her eyes lit up as she met Paul's eyes. He said, "I have no right to interfere with Mariah's affairs, but I still hope to ask a favor from you."

She understood what he implied. "Just for Benjamin's sake?"

Paul took her out of the bar and brought her upstairs. They finally stopped on the 18th floor. He took out a key and opened the door.

She stepped in and saw a familiar scene. However, she held her emotions back and walked straight to the bedroom. She opened the door and walked to a cabinet near the floor-to-ceiling window.

She opened it and brought out a box. Inside were several car keys and some other trinkets. She picked up a key and put on an old cap. She looked at herself in the mirror and seemed to see her past self.

"I'll take these," Helen said as she walked out of the bedroom with the box in her arms.

Paul shrugged. "I've only been holding these things for you temporarily. They will all go back to you one day."
