Chapter 298 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities
"Thank you, Paul," Helen said sincerely.
He just smiled. "We're good friends here, why are you being so formal?"
The two of them walked out of the apartment and Helen locked the door. She walked to the elevator.
"I remember when I left here last time. I thought I would never touch this place ever again in my life. Only two years had passed since then, but I came back again. I can't help but feel a little nostalgic," she said slowly.
Paul looked at her softly. "Actually, I knew from the start that you'll be back. It was just a matter of time. Thankfully I waited for you.
"You should try your best for tomorrow's competition. I'll go to support you. Cheer up, I'm looking forward to your performance."
Helen said with a nod, "It's group stages tomorrow. I'll try my best."
After getting off the elevator, Helen went straight to the garage. There, her favorite car sat. Although it had been parked there for two to three years, there was fortunately no dust on the car.
This was also thanks to Paul, who helped her clean it from time to time. She sat in the driver's seat and everything she was familiar with seemed to come back to her.
She accelerated and drove away. Her car sped on the road, attracting paparazzi. However, Helen ignored it and drove it to the hotel. She took off her cap to place it on the passenger seat.
She tidied her hair up in the mirror before getting out of the car. As she entered the lobby, she coincidentally ran into Chandler again. They entered the elevator together and Helen stood beside him.
Just then, her doorbell rang. Helen was curious. Who would come to see her at this hour? She walked to the door and asked, "Who is it?"
"It's me!"
Those two simple words came from a familiar voice. Helen was startled and opened the door in disbelief. "Mr. Chandler, why are you here?"
Chandler asked, "Do you have hot water here? The water heater in my room is broken."
She blinked and said, "Yeah… I do. Give me a bucket and I'll fill it for you."
