Chandler handed her a bucket and Helen took it. She went back into her room and filled the bucket with hot water, while he waited quietly at the door.

"Here you go, Mr. Chandler," she said as she handed him the bucket.

He reached out to take it, but he couldn't help but stare at the mole on the back of her hand. It was a unique and conspicuous mole. Chandler didn't think much about it and said, "Thank you!"

Afterward, Helen closed the door and returned to her room without much thought.

As she slept that night, she felt like she was suffocating and she was coughing violently. However, the smell of the thick smoke became more and more overpowering. Helen realized something was wrong and opened her eyes abruptly.

She saw that the room was full of smoke like there was fire.

"Fire…"

An alarm was sounding outside the door, mixed with the screams of people. Helen was choking on the smoke and coughing. She quickly took the towel from her bed and covered her mouth and nose.

She staggered to the door and when it opened, men and women were running to the fire exit in the hallway. When she saw this, she followed suit.

In no time, a lot of people gathered together as everyone ran downstairs. Helen didn't know who pushed her, but she lost her balance and fell forward. She collapsed against the wall and paused, gasping for air.

Most people had already gone and only a few were left behind.

"Are you okay?" Chandler's voice suddenly came from behind her.

She quickly nodded her head. "I'm okay. Why are you still here? You need to go downstairs, quickly…"

Her voice was full of anxiety as she subconsciously hooked her arm around his. She pulled him downstairs with her and Chandler was startled for a second.

"Then what should we do tonight?" Helen asked. The surrounding people had also asked for an explanation from the hotel staff.

The staff quickly calmed everyone down. "Please don't worry, we'll find a solution for everyone as soon as possible."

The fire was too sudden and it happened in the middle of the night. After more than half an hour, the fire was finally put out. Fortunately, it was an electrical fire, and there were no casualties.

"Everyone, please be patient. Our hotel has arranged accommodations for you, but the rooms are quite limited. Two people need to share a room and if you have friends, you'd have to share a room.

"You can all come to me for the room card," the manager announced. Many of the guests came forward in pairs to get a room card. Soon, only Chandler and Helen were left.

They both were considering finding someone to share with, but when they looked around, they realized everyone had paired up. Only the two of them were left.
